I made the realization as I was getting ready to film my self-tape audition that I've been auditioning since 2019 and have not booked a single role (background or those judge shows I don't count...). I'm frustrated at the process, but understand that everyone has their own journey and I'm positive that as long as I don't give up, I'll eventually land something. If there are any other actors out there who resonate with this message, feel free to comment or connect with me on IG! Always down to make new actor friends (:

I admire your tenacity. You will not have to live with the regret of not having given it a proper go. I do wonder why Asian actors aren’t more prominently featured in projects aimed at international audiences compared to black actors, given the size of the Asian market compared to Africa’s.

Yeah exactly why I need to keep trying otherwise I’ll always wonder what if my whole life. What if it was just that one role that I could have booked when I was 30, 35, 40. I wonder that too. Black people are the second most represented on the big screens but sometimes it’s a struggle to find even one Asian person in a big tv show. Frustrating 😢
