In hindsight, I think people thought this show was much worst than it really was. Like someone said this was before reality TV was scripted. On a few shows yes, they looked a bit high but on most shows, Whitney was just regular as hell. With no makeup and no glam being a regular black family and people seemed to be offended by that. Shit when I’m home, my hair is all over the place, I’m cracking jokes and I’m talking shit. When I’m at work I’m perfectly coiffed, my diction is impeccable and I’m professional. Folks just wanted to rag on Whitney. She wasn’t out of control on any of the episodes. Her and Bobby had fun together. RIP to her.

karma Peters you are exactly right. The women now on reality tv are contoured, blended and highlighted for the Gods on EVERY episode. They were real back then. Whitney NEVER had her hair done up here. I know they were high a lot but that was their REALITY to be seen 🤷🏾♀️
If it was done now and they was still together and she was alive Whitney would've been the breakout star due to her realness and we can see ourselves drinking wine and watching other cheesy reality shows.

Whitney seemed to be a rebellious famous rich woman. Who obviously wanted to be rebellious,and once she got on drugs she felt she had found who she really wanted to be, and was content with it. If you can't handle putting on an image of perfection that your not, none of us are. Do not destroy your spirit in the process. I think she really wanted to redeem herself, but just did not have the mental strength to fight what she had gotten her physical body use to. Mind over matter does not always win, but with the help of god and willingness of self can surely be defeated. May god bless her with resurrection and she receives redemption with a second successful chance.

Naw Bobby just extra like that he was sober as far as drugs during these episodes he admitted to drinking but drugs no.. People don’t realize this was unscripted so they were just being regular like they were at home or out and about hell I act like them and I’ve never did any type drugs they were being themselves.. I love her she just wanted to be a angel and a princess to the world she wanted them to keep looking at her like that. She cared to much about what ppl thought about her she was really ashamed at the real her. She tried to live a double life
Whitney was gifted to give back to God but kept a portion for herself, and that portion "turned on her stomach" . She knew who she was, but had a hard time respecting who she was, which made room for her enemy.
@sharon curry Sometimes you don't know what people go through or what happened in their pasts and especially if people are coming around you with drugs, alcohol, sex...its not hard to be easily mislead unless your faith is strong and we all fall from grace in different ways.

idgaf what anybody says... the show was straight fire. It was one of those shows i related to because they kept it real and i could relate to that. Then they had shows like runs house which was scripted asf but people seemed to like it more. Tells you a lot about our society.
Look at 1.05 she was on point with Krissy at the Airport though and she had to be like that all day and she had to do that all day long to protect her baby girl and that can be stressful. It's almost as if she was doomed from the start. That song "beautiful" was beautiful.

Love Bobby, Whitney, & BK. Things were just happening way too fast. She never had a chance to see the world. Went from home with Bobby to limo to plane to hotel to stage back to hotel & the cycle continued for decades. She's sooooo fuqing tired but cant stop caus all these staff depending on her. She feels like a cash cow & the only person who loved her unconditionally, Robin, is long gone never to be seen again. Whitney was fighting some serious demons from being molested by a female family member and it was said the family doubted it happened. Then her wanting to be with a woman, her family being in the church had a problem with that. She really lived unhappy within herself.

Well it was her Husband show so she decided to be on the show but they both did say she wasn't suppose to be on it but she showed up the day of taping and I love me some Whitney but she never said she lowered herself to not outshine him but she said since she was a big star and he wasn't anymore she tried to dull her shine but no one ask her to do that but some ppl felt she was too good for Bobby but turns out they were wrong because Whitney admitted to doing drugs before meeting Bobby and her brother introduced drugs to her but this show was a mess because most of the time they were both high
Can't wait to see how they do the Bobby Brown movie, looks like it's gonna be good! It might make everyone mad to see how he really treated her when the doors were closed.
They were actually pretty young during this and the dope had them looking old. I miss Whitney and her child I would have loved to see the updates for them

This show is really really badd, This is at a time when Whitney Houston left Arista records with Clive Davis for a while in order to support Bobby Brown. Will you see in this video and TV show was a bunch of bottom feeders and hanger ons Pulling her down to the Very lowest denomination. People keep talking about the black life. No this is not. This is an account of chaos drug addiction, extremely badd behavior that only leads to legal problems and death and in this case 2 people died Whitney and her daughter. At there's nothing black about that. Bobby Brown didn't cause Whitney to become a drug attic but he dam sure didn't help either. I do not know if Whitney would have walk a different path had she never got involved with Bobbi Brown, However what we do now is by her getting involved with Bobbi Brown certainly was a contributing factor to her and her daughter's death.
The show was an embarrassment to how Whitney lowered her standards to appease Bobby. She might have been on drugs before him but everyone that knew her said she said never how she was in the show til she hooked up with him.
I think it was the drugs that lowered her standards. on his movie even her movie it was obvious Whitney messed herself up and her family had the world thinking it was him. Even this clip Bob is off drugs,, A drunk yes just changed 1 addiction for another.
