From the Barrackpore Church of Christ in Trinidad. Searching for and listening to your presentations. Beneficial both to our work and our lives! God bless and keep up the good work dear brother!
I gave you a thumbs up. Two things I would like to add is a little content to is the term lukewarm. That comment I believe is being addressed to the church at Laodicea. The message was to a body of Christians if I’m not mistaken. To the north of Laodicea was some hot springs that were healthy and to the south was Colossae which had cold water springs that were healthy.by the time the water reached Laodicea it was lukewarm, the kind you would spit out of your mouth as Jesus was saying about the entire Laodicea church. So it is speaking of a church problem and not a personal issue. You or correct that there are some churches in our flock that could fall into that trap as you mentioned. As far as having faith goes, well, I suppose we could all be found lukewarm having faith. I read that our faith is weak for if not so we could move a mountain! We need to remember to keep repentance in view at all times. For we all fall short of the target at times. Thanks for your works! That God we are saved by Grace.
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:8-10
The only thing I mean by that term is activities or works that the church can do. For example, someone might suggest having a cleanup day around the building such mowing, cleaning up trash, etc. It might be called a cleanup program. Another example might be an evangelistic program where members get together to go knock doors or maybe ladies get together to send out get-well cards. Things like that.
