I do too! I'm a shopping cart returner because I know carts could cause damage to someone's vehicle cause it's happened to me. And you can say it's a case of common courtesy also😉.

@L Cam It was one excuse after another, instead of just picking one and sticking with it. That alone made her look worse than it would have if she'd kept her mouth shut and listened to the judge tell her why she was at fault. Her husband didn't help her case either .

Local store has a motorcycle only parking spot. It usually has 2,3,4 carts parked there. I have come out to find carts left touching my bike. People so stupid.

@@kyoto32001 she was talking about the cart bring lifted on the little area. Yes if the cart was near your car and you lift a bag, the cart can wheel off. But the defendant said she lifted the cart so it was secured on the grass part or whatever. So if you lift a bag out, it won't move on it's own.

I can easily explain why: When they're spending 1-2 hours shopping they're doing it in self-interest. They want things for themselves or they want to buy something for someone else. But returning the cart to the store (taking less than 1 minute for sure) is something people don't do because they don't get anything from it.

Because it works, unfortunately. Just look at Donald Trump for example... he always blames others for his mistakes and his followers fall for it. I had a crazy lady pull out into traffic, slam into the side of my vehicle and she lied so much she somehow convinced my insurance company to find me 50% at fault. Luckily, I had a dashcam that showed what really happened and she was immediately found 100% at fault! I believe she was kicked out of her insurance company to boot.🤣

Me too she's very inconsistent with each case sometimes she lets people who come with them speak and other times she doesnt.She never lets the plaintiff or defendant speak she asks a question but doesn't let them answer she screeched and screams when there is no need.

Once the person says they anchored it on the island, that implies they were done. Either way, whether she was finished with the cart or not, keeping the cart under control was the defendant's responsibility.

Well, I agree with you. Almost every time you confront or question a guilty person, they say "What happened was..." I'm sure innocent people use it too, but it seems like every liar likes to use that to begin their story. That's what I was thinking, too. The judge kept talking over the defendant and wouldn't let her explain. I think that's why she was confused when the judge asked where she could put the cart. The defendant kept saying she was unloading her groceries at the time. I think that she pushed the cart against that little median, and when she took the last bag out, she bumped it and it started to roll away. I've had that happen to me before (when it was against my car), and I've seen it happen to other people. I mean, I definitely think the defendant is responsible for the damages, but it was driving me nuts how the judge (whom I love watching) seemed to misunderstand what the defendant was saying.
