To answer the question about the Neighbor: When the movie was released, the crew explained that scenes had been cut for time and ratings. Years later, an extended cut was released which restored several minutes of cut scenes. An extra scene after the attack revealed the neighbor alone on her bed, wrapped in her blanket, nude and crying... make of that what you will.

A brilliant yet arrogant scientist that has hunger for power and once he has that power it really takes a dark and sinister turn as he is tempted to use it for evil intentions. 😰😱 This is one of his most greatest, iconic, and memorable roles in cinema.😍😎💯👍😏
Hollow Man (2000) is one of those movies that you can not possibly forget as it's just so memorable and well-known. It is one of Paul Verhoeven best and finest work in cinema. When it was first released it received negative reviews which totally confused me 😕🤔 but despite that I hold it very close to my heart. The movie was absolutely and positivity constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end. It is such a true blue modern gem. Paul Verhoeven directed a classic that will be in our hearts forever.😍😎💯👍
Everything would have been cool and none of this wouldn't happen if Linda, Matt, Frank, Sarah, Carter, and Janice developed a fully and accurate logical reversal serum when they construct a invisibility serum for the Phase: III Human Experimentation Project. If they did that then they would have able to return Sebastian fully normal.

The one thing I've learned about horror movies is that everyone makes stupid decisions and the homicidal maniac is invincible until the final act 😂 PS: Sebastian went insane because of 5 reasons: 1. He was frustrated that the visibility serum was constantly failing which meant that he's stuck permanently invisible. 2. He was constantly trapped in a lab 24/7 and isolated from the outside world. 3. He found out that his ex (who he still has feelings for) was banging his work colleague behind his back. 4. He felt betrayed when he discovered that his whole team was planning to expose him to the committee and destroy his life's work. 5. He finally decided to give into his darker impulses and didn't care about morality anymore.
It was the serum and isolation that drove Sebastian to insanity but once he finds out that Linda and Matt we're secretly dating he snaps in complete rage and fury which made him into a killer. 😰😱
The scene when Linda, Matt, Frank, Sarah, Carter, and Janice finds out that their passcodes are disabled as they used them to gained access to the elevator as it was at that moment that shit just got real 😰😱 as they came to realization that Sebastian is now fully psychotic and insane as he became a killer as his main intention is to kill them all so he can escaped the lab fully invisible as he knew that they we're going to give up to the committee.
I love Hollow Man (2000). It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme. The story, performance's, music, and special effects was outstanding and incredible. Kevin Bacon did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Sebastian Caine a brilliant yet arrogant scientist that has hunger for power and once he has that power it really takes a dark and sinister turn as he is tempted to use it for evil intentions. 😰😱 It was decent. It would have been better if Linda, Matt, Frank, Sarah, Carter, and Janice all stay together instead of splitting up to hunt down Sebastian. If they did that it would have been a possibility they would have captured Sebastian and successfully escaped the lab.

He clearly graped the neighbour, minus the g (censoring myself because of bots and all that jazz) You can see him looking at her getting undressed and there was this superman joke, plus he is a general creepy guy. So, yeah. And also, I don't think being invisible made him insane, I think he was pretty much already there, just that being invisible made him more bold.
Yeah I realised after while editing that the superman joke was like a prediction from the writers! I think he was a creep but I also think that he became more agressive like they said about the animals in the beginning. So there is really no way of knowing what he would or wouldn't have done if he wasn't under the influence of that serum.. I guess it just increased his creepiness as well LOL

Thank goodness you did not react to the Unrated/Director's Cut (due to scenes more messed up than the theatrical version). I remember seeing this in theaters back in high school. Indeed a product of its time, but back then it thought it was peak CGI. Still a classic tale of "God's" hubris.

In my opinion Sebastian is a complex character. 🤔 It makes the audience feel sorry for him and want him to win such as getting a chance of happiness in life as he was dealing with heartbreak of the end of his relationship with Linda as she left him for Matt due to his personality as he wasn't their for her, was quarantined in the laboratory due to his condition of being completely invisible as he wanted to do human invisibility as he was constantly put under needle's, experiments, and radiation tests to bring him fully back to normal but to no avail as the more he stays in insolation the slowly he descends into madness, doesn't get no recognition and credibility at all, and they we're going to give him up at the committee but at the same time Sebastian had a horrible personality such as being arrogant, cocky, and narcissistic as he was always joking he was god towards his teammates, sexually assaulted a team member, rape his next door neighbor, kill a dog, and kill innocent people. If Sebastian had a different personality his life would have been better and bright as Linda will still be with him, his teammates will appreciate him, and he will get tons of recognition and credibility.

You probably watched a censored version of the movie because in the uncensored version you clearly see Caine r** that woman 😢 it's very graphic and you can clearly see him f** her then later he leaves and the poor woman is on the bed crying I mean... I'm so glad you didn't see it cause it's one of the most awful, vile and saddest scenes I have seen so it makes me so sad and disgusted... And yeah the vet is the only sane person in this movie for calling them out for what they do to the animals, also Matt but he should have stopped Caine in some way earlier... Also there's speculation "hollow man" means he's not affected by the experiment, he was dead inside already he's a sociopath, being invisible gave him the opportunity to give in to his lowest instincts...
ohhh! I'm glad i've only seen the censored version then! And yeah.. He could've been like that from the beginning but maybe a little bit less aggressive tho.
