I am sorry, that’s not my experience. I have never had a mental disorder, always had capacity, but a male amhp phone d my home late at night, and told me I had to have an assessment. And if I refused he would have police break down my door and remove me to a cell as there was no bed spaces. I was terrified. His name was Andrew Pattinson and he works for surrey county council. His actions left me with severe trauma, i will never trust authority again, I would urge people never to contact the council., never speak to an amhp.

I find the idea of detaining and involuntarily holding someone for suicidality to be deeply problematic. I am of the opinion that the life and body of an individual belong solely to that individual -- and if someone wishes to end their life, it is their right and prerogative. Arguments against suicide are primarily of a philosophical or religious nature -- and a medical practitioner shouldn't be in the business of imposing their beliefs upon a patient. In addition, there is no evidence whatsoever that hospitalization "treats" suicidality -- the evidence seems to point to the reverse. Considering the massive deprivation of rights and liberties that involuntary commitment or sectioning entails -- along with the utter lack of evidence for its efficacy in instances of suicidality -- implementing this measure seems equally immoral and unjust.

Especially since people can be sectioned just for having autism under the UK mental health act - first of all, autism isn't a mental health issue, it's a learning disability / brain disorder - completely inappropriate. Secondly, it's known now that this treatment makes autistic people's symptoms and mental health WORSE, not better.

actually, it can be a horror from what I've seen. U hear of people doing this while 'inside', taking their life. It seems it has happened too many times. I will find program but also see on Suella Braverman's website, that S=hampton hospital. quite shocking.

True words. It happend to me because "potentially being at risk of harming myself" (no harms or Plans so far). A preventive, not an acute measure. It was a quick and easy way for the Police, to Just be on the Safe Side. No Matter what consequences for anyone Else... Like me. I was released less than 20h later, but this experience changed my whole Life to the worst. In that night in the psych Ward it was the First time I googled "how to kill myself", 2 weeks after me release I started having an eating disorder and threw Up Up to 6 Times the day. Now I am in psychotherapy because of Diagnose PTBS from my forced hospitalizaizion. Still no day Passes without shame, stigmatizing, nightmares, Panic... Family and Friends turned away from ne because they feel embarassed about the hospitalizaizion and some even told me, this can only Happen to Dangerous people. Thus, they niw are afraid of me. Everything Just because a few Police officers Chose the quick and easy way for themselves....

Sectioning someone is always a violation of human rights. We all are owners of our lives and we have the right to keep living or not. Sectioning people only contributes to traumatizing them, it is never helpful.

You realize these individuals can hurt others right? Including being physically violent with them due to their delusions? Speaking from someone who has a mentally ill father and is all to familiar with the shit storm this can entail for family members.What are human right anyways? Doesn't an ill person who refuses to seek psychiatric treatment violate the human rights of others by their actions towards them?

It doesn't seem to happen like u say, in a lot of cases. What can one do if they were wrongly sectioned for no reason? And lies were told about the person, and they had no evidence to either even state such things, since they did not know anything about the person, and the opposite was actually true! Are these 'lies' stated on a health record? They wd be showing themself up if it were. How does one address these things.

I recently had a section 135 issued..now detained totally unfounded! coming from a complaint I made to the police in late 2019 about extensive "cyber" criminality directed my way.. Absolutely no investigation by the police only reccomend I attend a voluntary interview with their suggested psychiatrist...in my ignorance of of how corrupt the system now is I attend..needless to say the resulting report content was shambolic and defamatory. A child could have seen the collusion here!! I am now seeking constructive legal representation... Beware people...

Thanks for this video, you have a new subscriber!😊💗 I'm considering specializing in forensic psychiatry but I have a few questions to ask about your field of work: •Do you often see patients' families and work with them in some way? •Does the field focus on the medical/biochemical aspect of mental health or do you also consider the psychological/cognitive aspect of things too? •Do you get the chance to provide therapy/therapeutic treatments or is it mainly diagnosis and evaluation? • Are you able to advise changes to the criminal justice system/refer treatments to criminals? Including working with the government/MPs/legal officials to make legal changes? •When working with a team, do you work together with forensic psychologists/criminologists? Sorry to bother with the amount of specific questions ahaha😅💕

If you genuinely have a serious mental illness like Schizophrenia then unfortunately going to have go to a mental health facility. But if like me you suffer from depression avoid this place like the plague. The facility I was in was hell on earth. I guarantee you will get no sleep. People screaming and banging all night long. Constant checks from staff every ten minutes which includes turning your light on and off. Doors slamming literally every few minutes. The food is awful and most of the staff barely speak English. You do get your own room with a shower and toilet in it bed when I first had a look around mine there was feces stains on the toilet floor. They do provide you with toiletries but I was left in the same clothes for the first four days as I didn’t have any family members in the area to drop them off. Unfortunately the NHS is barely functioning these days and I’d say that these facilities are a shining example of just how bad things can get.

Having seen the process many times… it never works that way. It depends on postcode probably, if your violent/aggressive, more likely your going to get sectioned…. If your not.. even if your suffering from phycosis and clearly unable to function … it’s unlikely your even going to get a bed or admission, sectioned or not… they really need to have more funding. 10x the amount they are doing now

I was wrongy sectioned, put on drugs for schizophrenics, when I'm extremely intelligent and articulate. Probably nicest person you'd meet as well. Why put me in that environmrent, when beds are apparently so scant. As a result I had to befriend crazy people and crackheads and be scarred for life from my experiences. This evil crack witch in there took advantage of me in my situation and robbed me big time a few weeks after we were both out. She was released earlier than she should have been, and owed me £50 that she said she'd give me back when getting her benefits next week. I had no choice but to see her again afterwards. I need to sue them for this.

how could it be for the GP practice to contact me to be taken for a two-month stay without any trail such as emails communications from prior to the today. I could have voluntarily agreed to a two-month stay at a mental health hospital to it docs my mind and body of too many issues I took over the years, nevertheless I have coming to legal cases against the government it could be that I have agreed to it nothing shows the opposite which makes me wonder since I am to date the government to do your "of human rights for the healthcare authority to mislead the nationwide patients by not including regulated activities in its rating since it is not in its remit is not in its remitto inspect non-essential healthcare services, the existing legislation dating from 2014 when dated last in the UK as long as health and social care act 2008. If suitable accounts for a major number of been taking advantage of one's statutory rights. Sees the healthcare authority sent inspect nonclinical buttons it remains that employers are free to exploit this loophole and deprive employees of their statutory rights under the NHS constitution and the fact that we are without any remorse since the healthcare authority isn't expected to be involved until I raised it with the regulator itself which was not denied by return of email.well be a big mistake? I think it is whichnext it usually take it to the European Court of human rights to protect the most vulnerable patients and to listening to the discriminatory deprivation of rights to clinical staff

Yeah they like to talk about rights, and p.a.l.s. and summoners (advocates) , it's only when you try any of it, you realize what a crock of $hit it all is. For example, he doesn't answer my question, and ( in relation to my question) this practice is surely illegal, but should you try to resolve it, you'd need a mental health solicitor ( oh, been there too) , why would you need a mental health solicitor? Why not, just a solicitor? That in itself is quite telling Cultish, gaslighting , snake oil salesman, with a bagful of drugs, who probably play golf with a judge.

Oh he did answer my question, and he agrees it's kidnapping. New question Mr Sore Minds, why if I tried to do something about this kidnapping, would nothing get done? Why would I be told to see a mental health solicitor ( 1 came to visit me during this kidnapping, so you'd think that they'd make an excellent witness) , why not, just a solicitor ? Is it so that it's all kept 'in house' and can then be swept under the rug easier?

This is strange, I get replies to comments on my notifications, by this person who isn't sore minds, but when I go to the video and comments section, his comment is not there. So if I reply, which I was going to do, then it looks strange. The person commented on sectioning equating to being abduction. There are some that would agree with you. @@mlisa61 My point is that people should mind their own business. Just the thought that somebody knows what’s best for you is insulting at least in my opinion. People are allowed to make poor choices. After all.. it’s their life and theirs alone. I come from a place where stuff like this RARELY happens. Wanna know why? Because most people in that place are vengeful and so are the ones around them. So interfering with another’s life can jeopardise yours. Basically the consequences can be fatal in some cases. In my opionion it’s fair enough. But the western society’s built in a different way. It’s a hypocrisy if you ask me. How would Anne or anyone else for that matter feel if somebody would be in charge of their whole life? Let’s be honest here.. This isn’t helping. It’s just the assumption that some people know best which in my humble opinion is an unforgettable intrusion into other people’s lives.

Are you basically saying that you're too good for mental hospital? Because if so, that's really not how it works. Anyone can have a severe mental illness, regardless of how intellectual or unique they are.
@PEGGLORE
@PEGGLORE 10 месяцев назад
@@donnao476 I do not have a mental illness which warrants being sent to mental hospital and put on drugs, and take away my wits etc. I originally had a freak event of misfortune in the lottery, which isn't allowed to happen. The man from my town who I gave my cat's other 2 kittens to 7 years earlier, somehow won the 3rd highest ever Euromillions jackpot of £108 million. I played the same lottery straight after discovering this, to see if I could win it as well. 6 weeks later I came up with my perfect lottery line finally, after these observations I'd made in the draws. On the stupid day, an unfair series of events made me not put my numbers down. In the end it was the fact that there wasn't a pen at the picking station to save my ass and do the weird thing I was going to do. (Buy an identical ticket to the one I just bought in the previous shop, but change the 2 numbers I didn't like to my 2 favourite numbers) It's a long, complicated story the whole thing, equivalent to 5 lottery wins at least. Written a short book, explaining. I bought Lucky Dips instead at this point, because the lack of pen made me panic and then logically think that I'd have better odds of winning by doing this than putting my own numbers, because you can't work out lottery numbers, obviously.. ALL of my masterminded numbers got drawn afterwards. Someone else in the UK who hadn't earnt it, had all my numbers and took the whole £72 million that we should've split. Threw away not just 2 Euromillions winners in a row from the same town as e/o, but who share cats as well. Indeed, I have been sent to Jupiter by the National Lottery. But I am not crazy. Yet. I am probably doing the greatest job in the world of not going crazy after this has happened. I should of course be rewarded for all this, in blissful surroundings, supplied by the National Lottery now obviously, since they suck in £5 billion a year and can afford it. The guy who won the lottery and ruined my life now lives in a castle. Dumped the girlfriend he had and is now obviously banging prostitutes continually, and I don't know where my cats are anymore, which I'd been wondering intently about for the previous 7 years, since giving him them reluctantly, after discovering he'd recently just met his girlfriend and was getting them for her. Important dynamic destroyed thx to National Lottery. I had a stroke about a year later and lost my special talent as one of the best video game players in the world. I had been to another mental hospital voluntarily for 10 days a couple of months after my stroke, put on drugs for schizophrenics which really messed me up, and vowed to never take these medications again. a few months later I decide I want to try to become a Paralympic athlete and start to get fit and healthy, and thought this would be best way to be trying to get better(naturally). A bit later mental services got involved again, after a joke I said to my best friend in a private message was intercepted by online police or whatever. I apparently have made threats to a past lottery winner. Bloody idiots have no understanding of the actual story and situation I am in etc. The police should have interviewed me at this point as well. Not the mental health morons. They out their element with this one. They wanted to put me on this new drug which is similar to the other one I was taking which messed me up. I was told I must have an interview with Dr Sadiq and express my eagerness to take the medication, or I'd be sectioned.. Well I straight out told him that I have been exercising and feeling a lot better and feel it would be better for me to continue doing this and get better naturally, since these drugs don't agree with me. He actually agreed with me, said it was good. He said they may have to keep in touch about it, or something.. I go home feeling a big sense of relief and feeling happy. Had these very important plans with friend for that night/weekend. But then I get a phonecall about an hour later telling me a bed has been made available for me at the Bethlem hospital, and must be ready in 45 minutes for the ambulance to pick me up. So, yh, it was the ultimate deceit by them. That bed could've gone to someone actually crazy, who didn't have important plans that night.. As a result, this evil crack-witch manipulated me in there, when my brain was not at full capacity and I get my framed George Harrison autographed photo and loads of other things stolen. That George Harrison and other 2 stolen autographed photos was a parting gift from my mum, who died the week after my stroke, when I was in hospital. My mum was the main screaming Beatles fan from the Hull concert. Classic photo. This stolen autograph is very important and must be tracked back down again for me. It should never have happened. The drugs also made me fat and ruined all my hard work, setting me back a good 6 months on that goal. Disaster the entire thing.
