I love this family so very much. They have touched my life in so many ways. I am proud to be an Osmond fan. I have been and I always will be. God bless the Osmonds.
I am feeling sad that you all paid a price emotionally at the same time you were bringing us so much joy. I am sad that the original four did not get to do the things you wanted because of the Donny and Marie show. Yet you have shown us how to deal with and overcome your differences. You probably don't know how many people you brought into the church, or even just saved from committing suicide. God is watching and approving. Thank you for all you have done, still do, and are. Love you so!
I was 5 when I saw the Osmonds on Andy Williams. I was fascinated by those boys then and am enamored with the men they have become. At a great personal sacrifice, they have entertained us for so long. God Bless you!
When I saw the Osmonds in Glasgow the audience wouldn't let them talk in between songs cause they were clapping so much and so hard. It brought the 3 of them (Merrill, Jay and Jimmy) to tears
I'm so thankful to have grown up seeing you as a family, a family that was working together as one. As an adult it broke my heart to see the pain you all went through and really to think about it, those were natural feelings and it's no wonder. But I am thankful that you are still a wonderful example of an eternal family that gets through the tough times because there's something bigger than all of you, and that's the PLAN. By the way, I knew it was you, Donny the first time I heard "Soldier of Love". I was driving and I literally pulled over to the side of the road and started to bawl because in order for you to get air time, you had to do it that way and I was cheering because everyone loved it and I knew it was you! I love your family! And again I thank all of you for your sacrifices and your talent.
I enjoyed every minute of this video. Wish I could have been at that show. I almost cried watching the end of this. You guys are inspirations for all families. God bless all the Osmonds
I absolutely love the Osmond family. I had never seen this so thank you for posting these videos. Growing up in the 70s, the Osmond family was very influencial in my life. Their family values echoed what my parents taught me so they were just like family. I keep up with them throughout the years...just like a big family reunion, it just feels good to see them and hear them. God Bless.
I just saw the Osmond brothers (Merrill, Jay, Jimmy) last night in Lakeside, Ohio 7-7-12 -- and let me tell you, they still make your legs jello.. best harmonies in the business.. They were so nice to everyone. .Got a hug and a kiss from Jay and Merrill and a pic with Jimmy...Made my night..They touched my life, for many years. God bless you all. Long live the Osmonds! Jane in Ohio
good, kind, decent, talented, the Osmonds are wonderful people, separately and together, and having each other in the end is the most important thing they have, and we can see here they have that bond. Their biggest success, in my opinion, is the ispiration they have been for the world, and great role models. They are the ultimate success story. simply the best!
I've watched this vid a few times now and every time...I'm crying right along with the brothers. I'm glad they had closure with some things. that's always good
FAITH, FAMILY and then FINANCES....... The Osmonds got that right which is why they are such a tight knit family. I have immense respect for them for not compromising who they are through the years. Honestly, it's helped me become who I need to be as well. Thank you for your example!
As a native Utahn, i have always thought of the Osmonds as perfect..(especially Donny :P) to watch this and realize that they are perfectly human and flawed like me helps me to realize that life is hard for everyone and it is what you do with it that makes you grow as a person and be at peace with who you are.. Thank you so MUCH for sharing this, it was an emotional enlightenment for me :)
WAYNE, the rock and roll is still in you. Get the brothers, go in the studio, even if just for yourself... do it...don't miss it , make it happen. We want to know you guys are having fun. Your kids and nephews can be sure you're Rockin in the 2000s. Funny check out 5:00, "Alan doesn't per form any more" well he Rocked in the World Tour 08 didn't he? Thanks for the posting, I hadn't seen it before.
What I find truly amazing is that the Osmonds were considered "Has-beens" around 1975, and yet look at what they've done since then. The Brothers recreated themselfs with moderate success as a country group, they were one of the most successful theatres in Branson. Donny recreated himself in the pop world with several Billboard hits hitting as high as #2. He has been in theatre, has a radio show, and still tours. Marie was a top country artist in the 80's, topping the charts several times.
How great they let us see them achieve closure! It makes me sad to hear Jay say at one time he didn't want to be an Osmond - he always looked like he was having so much fun on stage! Damn, where's my tissue! Rock on, Osmonds!
i have and always will be an Osmond fan.I think dedicating "Love me for a reason" song for alan when jay said it i was very moved. All the osmonds are an example to us all.
I have to admit that i really cried when Wonky (Wayne for those of you who dont know) said being an Osmond gave hom cancer. Wonky is my favorite and it hurt to know he was under so much pressure and that he was so miserable! I love you Wayne!
Osmonds! I may have been born in 1995 but you have all change my life! I used to think that this world was heartless but you all made me see 11 people can share a loving family bond through thick and thin, through the bad times and the good times. Thank you Osmonds for changing the way I see life!
Love this video! This was so touching..what a beautiful family! So much talent! I love it when the brothers are together..Love the Osmond Brothers!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing!
but I am also betting that watching Alan deal with MS ages Donny emotionally BIG TIME. Watching them deal together is heart breaking and touching all at once.
Good bless all you Osmonds. I didn't know you guys were hurting behind those famous smiles. I'm glad there's closure between you guys like Donny said. Love you guys 4 ever. ❤️❤️❤️🎵🎵🎵🥁🥁🥁🤗🤗🤗
I just hear him being tired from business of life. I saw a clip of Donny from ten years ago and it gives me a glimpse of him as a professional that made me realize how tiring this job life has got to be.
From Anna, Hi Wowzieee, He doesn't perform on a regular bases any more. That's what he meant. He can't do the dances anymore. There was on old video. Its gone I think where Alan said he wasn't going to do the 50th Tour (I figure cause its to hard for him to get around) but he said D & M both told him if he didn't do they wouldn't. Your friend, Anna
" I don't know if any Osmond reads this - thank you! I deal with cancer, & have nearly noone to help me.I keep up a good front. I do have One, thank The Almighty. My family has always been jealous of me & my accomplishments. But, it has always been The L-rd who helped. I pray I don't leave this dimension w/o seeing my children & grandchild(ren).Wish someone had called to say "Happy Birthday".Yet,I know my Father loves me."Count your blessings, name them one by one..."
They always looked the closest of families. Fast forward to 2020 and I wonder how they are all doing. Especially Jimmy as he had a stroke while performing in the U.K. Hope he’s well and truly recovered. Stay safe and look after each other Osmand brothers and sister Marie. 🇬🇧
Watching these segments has been interesting to see what went on behind the smiles. I was just 12 when I got their first album and even though I'm just a bit younger than Donny, I think Merrill was my favorite or maybe it was because of his voice. That rasp on He ain't heavy is a killer! :) It hurts to look at the picture on the record jacket and see Alan with MS now but we all grow older don't we? And we all have to play the cards we have been dealt. Some are rather harsh though. Take it to God
I think it does but it is also a serving career. most little boys at five are playing candy lane--donny was a singing professional and had a professional career at 14. that had to have been hard to deal with.
One thing I never could understand about Crazy Horses...I could swear that Wayne sang the lead on the album(he sang "Last Days" on The Plan album and Im sure it's the same voice). But all footage I have seen of the song has Jay(and in this case,Donny) singing it..Just confused I guess
He probably was having fun but he probably just gets sick of having the whole world aware of his professionalism and constantly having to be "responsible" and "good" and "honest" and.......,
Why does Donny still look so young and his brothers look so old? Donny looks younger than Jimmy. I thought Jimmy was the youngest brother, but Donny looks better and younger than everybody.
HAVE YOUES, BLOOD IS thicker than water AND I AM SO VERY SORRY THIS IS MAKING ME CRYING I AM HONESTLY AM SITTING HERE TEXTS TOO YOU MERRILL OSMOND HANDSOME SEXY BEAR XOXO HUGS TO YOU MERRILL OSMOND WITH TEARS JUST GOING DOWN MY FACE ,BECAUSE I AM HONESTLY HURTING FOR SHARING THIS PICTURE WITH ME AND EVERYONE ELSE OF YOUR LOVELY FANS , AND TOO SEE ALAN R OSMOND BEING THE WAY HE IS Merrill Osmond,
And I am only his kids' age (donny's) so I am going "Alan must be in HECK world if it is so profound from clips to me that I can't be anything other than bad" I cant imagine anyone who is his age not see Alan looking out of sorts. Is MS anything that gets bad enough like ALS that you could prematurely not live?
DianaTxFavs it was the same thing that happened with Michael & Jermaine Jackson. The "Original" Lineup was Jackie, Tito,& Jermaine. Marlon joins in 1962 at Five then Michael in 1963. Jermaine at Nine loses his Spot as The Lead Singer to Michael so he was very upset and he also had a stuttering problem. Then they hit The Big Time with "I Want You Back" in 1969, Jermaine has a Solo Hit with "Daddy's Home" Marries Berry Gordy's Daughter who created Motown, stays at Motown while his Brothers go to Epic, has only One Hit Record "Let's Get Serious" written by Stevie Wonder who sang backup on, and finds out The Hard Way that Being The Boss's Son In Law doesn't guarantee you fame. Michael has "Hit After HIt" while Jermaine still can't get a Hit Record. Merrill's problem took place way before Andy Williams. He felt that Donny didn't earn his keep and work hard the way the others did.
What is up with Merrill's comment about disliking Donny? Was that about wanting career to happen more when donny's did? or something else? Anger at Donny for doing something?
if the osmonds had not become famous, they would have gone each one and done there missionary work, but seriously I think they all A,W,M,J,D,M,J ALL have done the work , just on the stage sharing the word through music so kudos to them , the bigger the tribe the more the message gets heard .
@tmwalkerm I bet Alan is progressive. he has gotten so bad lately. one clip of him recently walking just a few feet with donny and Marie on their talk show hardly w/o support
I am assuming their husbands are at home considering that all of Donny's fan base look like women his wife's age~~ Granny's Jamming with a grandpa of five (don't send me hate comments for saying that)
