This is just a make believe story but you have the right to believe anything you want either out of ignorance or inferiority complex. Have you ever asked yourself which people were occupying the area known as edo today and how did benin came about. Firstly this area edo was called igodomigodo under the rulership of ogiso dynasty which ruled for over 800 years before the coming of benin kingdom which is a combination of the remnants of ogiso dynasty and the yorubas. What does igodomigodo mean in igbo language it means key and its an indication that igbo influence extends through out that area up to ile ife hence the comment from ooni of ife that igbos were the original inhabitants of ile ife but igbos do not conquer or subjugate others because our philosophy is live and let live. After the demise of the benin empire different groups started moving away to where they settled today like the ijedes and some igbos of delta , Anambra like ozubulu all migrated from there on a reverse migration.
