This song is special to me.. The lyrics are so deep and meaningful related to my past relationship. I drove 12 hours to see them in Santa Fe NM last October. Got two speeding tickets (each way). And I got to hang out with the bass player in after party. People I met in Santa Fe NM were super welcoming. That same night I received a call my mother was rushed to the hospital. Two weeks later she passed away. Lots of memories to that trip.
I can´t believe Im saying this, but really this album sucks, is the auditive equivalent of drinking watered beer or wine. ironically this happy songs make me sad, I miss the old complete, well written Beirut music.
Gonna have to agree with you in a way. I don't think the album completely sucks though. There are a few bright spots like this song and At Last. Unfortunately At Last seemed unfinished. Could have been so much more... The rest of the songs are just happy go lucky boring songs. Zach needs to go back to writing songs with depth, feeling, melancholy, etc. Maybe he was just tired of writing sad songs... But for us fans that have been listening since Gulag Orkestar came out, this new stuff is just fluff...
