All songs played (excluding menu & credits) in a continuous mix with full looping, all original quality. - Now you can see the music too, how's that for relieving boredom? - 60 fps recommended if you have the speed.
Skaven, who composed the music for many PopCap games, may have said: _I may have passed away by the time you read this note, but remember, don't let these masterpieces die with you. These tracks are here to survive for ages, perhaps centuries, not just be forgotten in mere years._ Someone should rewrite this note, put this along with the PopCap Classics Collection discs or the games' discs in a time capsule and bury it somewhere. Reopen it sometime in the 22nd century.
" _I may have passed away by the time you read this note, but remember, don't let these masterpieces die with you. These tracks are here to survive for ages, perhaps centuries, not just be forgotten in mere years._ " Such inspiring words...
Childhood right here. I couldn’t help but sing along to this beautiful music while playing and hearing mom upstairs telling me to lower my voice so I raised it instead.
I have a beefy gaming rig with 3 monitors now. You think I'd have some of the craziest wallpaper and animated wallpaper you can get off wallpaper engine. Nope. Since our Windows '95 family comp we've always had either computer generated cosmic backgrounds (like those in this game) or actual deep space photos taken from the Hubble Space Telescope or likewise NASA photos. My rigs both at work and home still have these types backgrounds. For me, its nostalgic and something we always had. It's also kinda like, a reminder to space being our final frontier and how far we've come to that with computers. I know this comment is old, but I hope someone will see this.
There are 16 planets in Bejeweled 2 galaxy, each with their own moons, and each has one of these backgrounds as landscape. Wonder one can develop a Subnautica-esque survival game with these backdrops as the starting point.
This is beautiful. A contender for the anthem of simpler, more wholesome times. Before microtransactions and pay-to-win -and EA- . When you would just play games and enjoy them. No questions asked. I truly do miss the late 2000s ;_;
I remember when I got my first laptop for my 16th birthday and there was a demo of this game on it and I would play it everyday until it would shut off and tell me to pay $20 for full version. I got so frustrated because I loved this game and the music was so relaxing to me that I ended up paying the $20 and I have no regrets lol I can't believe it's been over 10 years
My grandpa used to play Bejeweled 2 (and still does) and I'd almost always play it as well when I visited him. Now I have Bejeweled 2 on my pc and I play it sometimes. The music in this game is one of the best OST's of every game in my opinion, Routinoid being my favourite song.
25:55 Music kicks in perfect here, as I've seen a view like this on KLM Airlines, playing the Bejeweled on the inflight game system and then looking out the window to my right and seeing the sun and earth!
After around 10 years of not playing this game, I still vividly remember the peaceful, iconic soundtrack. Better soundtrack she minecraft to be honest.
I played Bejeweled 2 (iOS version) in 2011. I didn’t know how to play; I just simply moved the gems and sometimes made matches. However, it was fun to play, and I quickly learned how to play Bejeweled. Yes, Bejeweled is my childhood game series. I’ve stopped playing Bejeweled because I never got PC version of any of the old-PopCap Bejeweled games, but I still watch their gameplays and listen to their soundtracks. If I can download the PC versions of the old-PopCap Bejeweled games, I will probably play Bejeweled again.
The 20th anniversary of Bejeweled 2 falls on the exact date of the 2024 Presidential Election. When this game came out, George W. Bush has just been re-elected as President.
It’s the only computer game my mother ever played. All other games made her nervous and afraid to mess up, but this one was soothing and forgiving, so she could play it casually without worrying. I hate where they’ve taken the franchise, though. Now it’s just a Candy Crush clone. It used to have an ENDING, dammit!!
This game has always been my early childhood favorite game and still is. The music, the background, the sparkle of the gems. This brings back sooo many memories. Oh, how i miss this. EDIT: i would love to play this game again, don't know if I can still get it on Xbox. Love you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
The old days of 2008-2010 and amazed at this game and its different game modes. 14 years, 3700 hours of playtime, 25 million gems, thousands of completed levels and over 40 billion points (with hyper mode responsible for 35+ billion) later I still prefer to play this instead of other mobile garbage.
2:50 is when it drifts towards a whole different sound. It is music that increases energy levels by striking directly into our brain. Strangely brings up a sense of wellbeing. Actually, certain parts can be use in meditation.
Oh man the nostalgia. Back when I was a kid, my grandpa had this on his computer, and so whenever I would go visit, I would play, do really bad, then watch him do really well. God, that was so long ago now. Insane.
Not sure about you guys but the beginning part of this music is probably one of the greatest and wanna come to emotional standards the beginning part of the music hits me hard
I remember back when smartphones were still young. This game, along with the ancient demo version of minecraft pe were the only games on my old android. All these years later I redownloaded this to my Xbox One purely for the nostalgic soundtrack.
The music in the video are 1.Beyond the network 2.The journey begins 3.Rain of lights 4.LightStorm 5.Sea of Amorphity 6.Masked Intentions 7.Routinoid 8.Tunnel Society 2.0 9.A new beginning (Intro 2) 10.silent conquest 11.Schein 12.Choose and Contemplate 13.Breathing Love 14. Jewel of Denial
Miss when all music on the Internet was this and Dimrain47. Just awesome astronomy-type stuff to make you feel amazing, like you can do or imagine anything.
@@gradient5319 Popcap where always the masters of doing incredible graphics even in 640x480. Thats a hard work to make the game dont look pixelated when stretching.
I used to play this so much along with other games such as Re-Volt, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Age of Empires, Ricochet games back when I had no internet. holy hell
Me too, played Bejeweled so much alongside with Chuzzle and DotA1 and Plant vs Zombie. This was in 2009-2010. The games that I still stick to playing is Bejeweled 2 and Chuzzle and now Atlantis Quest as more modern games demand more memory and processor speeds.
@@r.a.6459 Oh my God I completely forgot about Chuzzle and Atlantis Quest!! Played them too. Nice to see someone else who played the original DotA map in WC3, good memories :) I have a very high end PC nowadays that can play pretty much anything, but I still find joy in these older games.
This game means so much to me The music, the sound effects, the backgrounds. So nostalgic and beautiful this game was Had to re buy the game off steam and installed the widescreen mod. Wish i still had the original CD and case
ANOTHER GREATEST HITS !!! LOOPED. OMG...lol. Neighbors probably think I'm crazy blasting this ....I only like 3 of them....repetitively tho!!!! 18:58, but 21:27 reminds me of every backing music for phil collins music for some reason. 😂 and that epic sound 28:29 / Jewels of Denial gets me to loop it again.
First time leaving the UK for teaching in Vietnam the airplanes had this game behind every seat. When I started playing, I got a flood of memories of being a kid and playing this with my mum. Good times.
Tbf match 3s are very simple in their general premise, which is line up 3 or more of a matching object for points, its up to the games devs to do whatever it takes to make it unique, As they're all pretty much identical in their basic mechanics.
I've played the.. ehem.. out of this game. And Twist. And then Bejeweled 3. My nostalgia prefers this one. And Twist. Both extremely amazing games. Everything was great. Graphics, sound FX, especially the soundtrack. This was addiction. 12 to 14 years later, I can't even resist. "One more.." yeah. Go on bud, just play it, it's the best of the best.
Music wise this game definitely beats out Twist and 3. But for me personally the best one gameplay wise is Twist. They're both amazing games that should be cherished for eternity. Too bad it's so really underrated. It makes me sad to see such an amazing series of games getting outshined by the likes of Candy Crush.
Twist had the most unique Gameplay. 3 is technically the best mainline Bejeweled game out of 1-3 but my heart will always prefer 2. And Bejeweled ended up literally copying Candy Crush. Anyone heard of Bejeweled Stars? Straight up Candy Crush.
I personally think this is the most beautiful and well realized soundtrack of any video games ever done on earth, but you could never change my mind on the fact that it's at least amongst the few very best.
Anytime, I play this game, my cat will curl up next to me and go to sleep. I played this music in isolation and she did the same thing. The music actually has a calming affect on cats (or at least my cat, Purdey).
i just noticed that if the video progress bar is showing, its between the audio spectrum visualization and its reflection which is such a small detail but its awesome
Games Back Then: Paid in full, no ads, no internet required, no microtransactions Games Nowadays: Paid in full, unskippable ads that you need to pay to remove it, internet required, lots of microtransactions, glitches added in purpose
We didn't know, but Skaven accidentally made the music in order that nowadays it brings out the true meaning of nostalgia, specially after "A new beginning"...
Just found this. Thanks a lot. I love the music/soundtrack. Yesterday when I want to install the game again after few years I can not find it in playstore. So sad.
I remember when I first got the demo on my Tungsten | E handheld, beamed from someone playing it on their Treo 650. One of the best puzzle games I ever played, I still have my OG T|E and play this sometimes, along with other ancient mobile games
