I think the game is trying to tell me something with the Blue Gem/Sapphire (it being Bejeweled franchise's mascot gem, after all) being flung at the screen...

One time I started a game and ran out of moves without making a move. I got 0 points. I remember the narrator saying "Go!" and then "No more moves" immediately after. I nearly died laughing.

Would be mathematically impossible to calculate. The starting board can have 1, 2 or 3 moves, but you can do one move and then cascades make the other moves voided. Gem falling from the top of the board can also contribute to the difficulty. There can definitively be three matching gems dropping for a countable amount of time, enlarging the number we need to work out. Also special gems may explode, then gem falls down but doesn't create any legal move. We will just say that the chance is infinitesimally low -- this might be the only time it happened, and maybe through RNG manipulation -- though it might be very funny to see that happen

What you could have done was match the first purple one in the 5th column and the 5th row. Then it would have brought the first purple one in the 7th column and the 3rd row and you could have went on. But no, you matched the first purple one in the 7th column and the 3rd row and got “ NO MORE MOVES! “ ! 😂💕

you *can* lose in Level 1 in Bejeweled vanilla and 2, the "Lossless Level 1" was only in Twist, but that's because there's no bomb gems in Level 1. I have yet to hear of people losing in Level 1 of Bejeweled 3 Classic - so this may/not have been a design like in Twist.
