This planet is full of Coals. It is ready to destroy with Special Gems (e.g. Flame Gem, Lightning Gem, and Supernova Gem). In Classic, Zen, and Blitz, destroying Coals will give you a bonus score through geodes. Destroying coals in one move is required to complete this challenge. Please note that You can't use Lightning or Supernova to complete Coal Mine 3, 5, and 7.
Objectives:
Coal Mine 1 (00:00)
Destroy 3 coals in one move
TIPS: It is a piece of cake, use a Flame Gem or Lightning Gem. When using a Flame Gem, make sure that the Flame Gem is located near three or more targeted coals. If using Lightning Gem, ensure that the Lightning Gem and Coal are on the same row or column.
Coal Mine 2 (00:33)
Destroy 6 coals in one move
TIPS: Use 2 Flame Gems, make sure that you place them adjacent in a diagonal way (not horizontal or vertical) and place coals near them, make sure that you have a match to detonate coal.
You can also use Lightning Gems with a Flame Gem triggered. Place Coals near the targeted Flame Gem.
Coal Mine 3 (01:17)
Destroy 8 coals in one move without using any Lightning
TIPS: Tips for Coal Mine 2 with Flame Gems are recommended for this challenge. To ensure victory, use three Flame Gems and place them in the same row with the targeted Coals at the bottom of the Flame Gem. Place another three coals near Flame Gems then find a match that can detonate them all in one move. At Coal Mine 3, 5, and 7, Lightning Gems and Supernova Gems are not counted
Coal Mine 4 (02:08)
Destroy 12 coals in one move
Create 1 Lightning Gem that can zap two Flame Gems to complete this challenge. Ensure all 12 coals are placed near Flame Gems that will be zapped through a Lightning Gem. Using Supernova Gem can be a solution as well.
Placing one Supernova Gem could be a good idea since it can destroy all gems 3x3 on the same row and column. Make sure you put all coals in the lowest column on the board.
Coal Mine 5 (03:02)
Destroy 15 coals in 1 move without using any Lightning
The best way for this challenge is to make a pattern from 5 Flame Gems or more and place them diagonally. Make sure that it is filled with all coals at the bottom. Keep the top Flame Gems have a matchable that doesn't interrupt the position of Flame Gems or Coals.
You can use 8 flame gems and place them on coals in the same column. Place another 7 coals on top of Flame Gem. Make sure you can detonate them by putting a matchable gem that can detonate all 8 Flame Gems.
Coal Mine 6 (04:20)
Destroy 18 coals in 1 move
Use 2 Lightning Gems with 2 Flame Gems Zapped. Make sure all 2 Flame Gems are placed all coals around the targeted Flame Gems. Place 2 remaining coals in the same row or column of Lightning Gems.
Placing two Supernova Gems could be a good idea since it can destroy all gems 3x3 on the same row and column. Make sure you put all coals in the lowest column on the board.
Coal Mine 7 (05:40)
Destroy 20 coals in 1 move without using any Lightning
This challenge is the most frustrating Coal Mine. Because you're not allowed to use Lightning Gems or Supernova Gems. You must create 7 Flame Gems and place them like the tips from Coal Mine 5 to ensure the completion of this challenge.
However, this video uses an easier technique to complete Coal Mine 7. Try to use the technique in this video.
