Hi, great video thanks. My daughter's washing machine is shrinking all her clothing and I'm guessing this could be because the temperature is getting too hot. Would replacing the NTC sensor be a sensible thing to try? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the video, very clear. I have a Beko WM5100W. It will not go into 'Test mode' pressing Power on and Start, no matter what I try. All I can get is the Start light, with Wash light flashing and also the spin light is on. The machine is otherwise completely inactive. The thing is, I can open the door - it does not lock. I have checked the carbon brushes - they are long and seem unworn. An engineer has told me the problem could be the Heater element. (if not, perhaps the door interlock). Would really appreciate your thoughts on this issue if possible.

I’ve changed both sensor and heating element but still water is cold. Is there any other reason for that. Is fairly new washing machine. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Same issue here and haven't found the solution, did you resolve? Although it will heat to 95c on a drum clean, so I'm suspecting a control board fault.

Thanks, for the information. I tested the heating element and it gave me 0 ohm. So im replacing that.

So my machine is stuck on the filling water cycle and never continues. The thing is u might say that its the water level detector thats faulty but ive tested it and it works. My second guess would be the ntc sensor which ur video proves since the heating resistor isnt being supplied with current. May you please tell us whats the resistance of a working ntc? EDIT : never mind i was mid video when i wrote my comment. 6k ohm it is.

Tried resetting with the button and now replaced the NTC and the thermostat attached to it, still not heating the water and the rinsing with cold water, any help please? this is the Beko WDX8543130W

I messed up and took the nut right off :O this has left the black rubber gasket separate from the metal face plate which holds the wires we remove. I've tried and tried for hours to either get the nut back on or pull the element out as it is but it's impossible. Is there any way back from this or is the machine now ruined?

I have an ISSUE with fixing Indesit: WA 8 i cleaned up the dial switch as it was constantly rotating it stopped rotating, checked the heater 30 ohm, checked the thermistor ntc 30 Kohms, still not heating ... is it the processor ? When i start the machine it blinks 3 times fast then starts ... does not heat does not stop washing ...

These videos supply me with so much entertainment. I can't help but laugh my head off when I see them. As an engineer, I have seen so many people come on stuck trying to repair their own appliances. When it would only probably cost just a few quid to get an engineer out. I have been to umpteen jobs where they have butchered the appliance by watching these videos. And it cost them more to repair in the end. These videos are only put on the internet to get people to buy spares from them. Engineers get parts a lot cheaper than joe bloggs, So it would probably cost not much more than the part to get an engineer out. (AND YOU GET A 12 MONTH WARRANTY ON THE REPAIR). Is it really worth it? all for the sake of a few quid? Come on people!!!

Totally false,an engineer is costly so a person knowing how to fix any part of their machine will save loads of cash Also these how to repair videos are not entertainment videos at all they made to help people

That's a ridiculous comment. RU-vid has been a godsend, saving people hundreds of pounds in pointing the way to a fault and offering various solutions. I've yet to hear of an engineer charging "a few quid" to do anything, let alone try to fix an appliance.
