Bietenoogst in Berlaar met Belgisch trekpaard-kleinschalig en milieuvriendelijk Beet harvest with a Belgian draft horse-respect for the environment Cheval de trait belge
What a horse. The epitome of beauty and gentleness. It takes the best of horsemen to bring out the best of such an animal. I could watch that gentle giant and its master all day. Thanks for the upload. I wish the video was a little longer
Whats funny is peta people are trying to call it abusive! They even say docking the tails is cruel and that you can just "braid it" but braids can cause way more damage then needed. (Even damaging the hair if done too often) In my opinion, its worth training an animal (and giving it a home) to do work it was bred for, then a machine that costs 40 grand that is destined to break down and need repairs that cost more than its worth.
See this is totally normal, these types of horses are bred for this type of work, and they just love it. In places like India, they hardly feed their animals and still force them to do heavy work like this even thoughtless they are light breeds such as thoroughbreds, this is also soooo cool, look at their bond!!
@@saladoscar thank you for agreeing... I saw a video and this man was forcing a little foal to pull a heavy cart up a hill, and it just collapsed!! It is absolutely horrible.
I has thinking this exactly, especially when he was free of all the harnesses and strolling in the lush grass, his fur is so thick and such a gorgeous deep brown colour 3:28
Kuddos to you good sir for keeping the tail on your beautiful draft. I can understand putting it up but I hate when they actually cut the bone to make it shorter.. 👍
yeah because if the horse picked up the beets with it's hooves then we'd all hate the farmer because that horse is living a terrible life. You're stupid.
Look at that beautiful beefy boy! And such a smart boy too, he does everything so calmly, precise and well :) So impressive to behold, a farmers true friend and ally. Bravo monsieur les pieds poilus ! Que tous vos repas comprennent des pommes... et que vous dormiez toujours sur du foin frais !
very well trained horse. Probably the best trained I've ever seen! good farmer and horseman as well. Horse does his part with ease and doesn't seem to mind by much at all. I hope the farmer doesn't give this hors he seems like an excellent partner for this horse!!!
I saw horses pulling timbers only according to the voice instructions given to them by a person standing nearby without holding ribbons. But this one is good too.
That's back-breaking work for the human. BTW, I had my property logged about 15 years ago and it was done by two men and a pair of draft horses. Those horses were very easy on my land and I was pleased by the results.
I love this horse. Mine would be jumping out of their skins if I threw beets into a wagon behind them. Also, listen to the cars zooming by and he stays cool.
I live there , and the sad part is that the breed is dying out . Machines took over the work that the horses did , and its very expensive to feed that horse and need a lot of space . A horse that wants to work , the look of a horse the strength of an elephant . Sad :( We need to look for a job for them fast ,to save the breed
Ich werde nie müde zu sehen, Ihre Videos, ich glaube, ich habe mehr als die Hälfte in einer Nacht gesehen! No me canso de ver tus vídeos, creo que he visto más de la mitad en una noche!
