Belgian Malinois: A Dog Like No Other 🐶🐾 

There’s a viral RU-vid video going around about a German shepherd that rides a skateboard with fantastic ability, including taking the state board up the stairs and riding it down the stairs - something most humans can’t do. But the comments section says that is no German Shepherd. Indeed, it is a Belgian Malinois.

I have worked with Belgian Malinois for years doing drug enforcement and know them as the most intelligent, athletic, brave and loyal of all breeds. But in my eighties I cannot match their energy anymore, so I have found great companionship with Australian Cattle Dogs which are similar in loyalty and temperament with the energy level turned down a notch, but just a notch.

My son got what he thought was a GSD from a backyard breeder. As she got older, it became evident that she was more Malinois. He got lucky. She was a great dog. Loved her fam, including all the sibs and parents. We dog sat for him occasionally, and she was great to go running with. RIP Layla.❤

My Maliois is only one year old and she is already a fantastic athlete. She so smart, but she demands all day attention. I'm retired so I can spend 24/7 with her. She is a cuddly Raptor who is extremely protective. She is also a shedding machine!!!

Got a 5 month old female. "Quita" was the runt of her litter, yet her abilities are far above any of my previous K9s. Be advised: owning and training a Malinois is a full time job. You'll have 15 minutes breaks every 2 hours

I’ve had numerous breeds of dogs. Having them for what they’re bred for all breeds are great ! BUT …. The Belgian malinois Is out of this world. Never had one, always wanted one but because of health reasons and respect for the dog I’ll have to respectfully pass on them. Stay with my Sheperds.

I have 2 pits a 165lb great dane & a chihuahua love them all but my mal pups loyalty at such a young age is just completely amazing 2 me very smart dogs & learn fast very active n keeps me on my toes most important thing 2 know owning a mal NEVER LET THEM GET BORED they WILL destroy anything & everything without the proper training ..... this breed isn't 4 every1 this breed is NOT 4 the couch potato cuz of the videos thats all over the media pleaz research b4 getting the breed DO NOT FAIL another breed

I absolutely adore these dogs, they are magnificent. However these dogs must have a purpose. They require more training and more activity than the average dog owner can provide. Best left to the professionals or the entirely dedicated.

Yes, they're exceptional. But please do NOT get one if you can't handle this breed, it's very challenging and time consuming. Lots of them end up in shelter because their owners couldn't handle them and that's probably the worse fate for this very loyal breed. Not suitable for busy people and first time owners.
