VTM Nieuws has recently moved to Antwerp and has put the city skyline in the background of their intro, while the VRT Journaal now also has the Brussels skyline in the background of their studio, nice little touch

Finally. Belgium News Intro never disappointed, also local news intro from Waloonia they improved a lot, especially from its studio and intro. Can't wait for next week compilation.

Amazing work! These 2 official languages of Belgium (+ German) are kinda like confused. My favorites are from Flanders: VTM Nieuws VRT Het Journaal Wallonia: RTL-TVI Le 19H RTBF Une 19 Trente

I like how, in Kanaal Z, the intro of Z Nieuws is a bit cleaner than than its French counterpart, but it's not in HD, while the French intro is actually the exact opposite. x)

Nice compilation! :D I only have two additional things: the main evening news from the VRT has also a short pre-intro before the headlines (just like VTM, RTL-TVI and RTBF), and the Dutch speaking broadcaster has also a youth based news programme on Ketnet, named 'Karrewiet'. Anyway, i enjoyed this video! :)

Talking about content: - VTM and VRT always making news intro going to another level. Previously, VTM have awesome news intro and VRT also. - RTBF improved a lot, hope RTL also changing it's intro. - Wait AVS and RTV using same studio? Are they on same media group? - Talking about BRF, some news intro channel YT included it on Regional/Local News, but the others included it on Main News Channel. so who is true?

- Yes AVS and RTV are the same group, same goes for ATV, TVL and TVO. I'm not sure if they actually have the same studio (or just the same design built twice). - Technically all channels in Belgium could be considered local. Dutch-speaking people live in the North of Belgium, whereas French-speaking people live in the South. German-speaking people live in the East, but that group is significantly smaller. Each 'community' has its own set of channels (with bilingual Brussels having channels specifically for Dutch or French speakers). So, the German part is on part with the French and Dutch-speaking ones, but is just so small that makes programs like a local station.

I think given what small regions they serve they look surprisingly professional. And in Belgium, as opposed to Britain, France or Germany, the regional broadcasters are not part of a big national (and to some extent state-operated) broadcasting company and have to fully rely on their own funds

RTL-TVI got a rebranding, new studio so I think you could do an update on this one, perhaps? Some local TV stations did the same, like TVCom in Walloon Brabant. The new studio is outstanding.

I know the channel (it's featured in my Dutch compilation) but I didn't know of the connection to Kanaal Z. Now I finally know why it's called RTL Z ;-) Thank you very much for the info!

@@tevebits on the wikipedia page of RTL Z under Dagprogamma's 2001-Heden they say this: RTL Z begon op 6 juni 2001 als onderdeel van RTL 5. Het eerste jaar werkte men samen met de Belgische televisiezender Kanaal Z. In de allereerste programmering werd er op werkdagen tussen 09.30 en 18.00 uur RTL Z Magazine uitgezonden. Dit was een half uur durende uitzending met korte items over de belangrijkste ontwikkelingen van de voorgaande dag. Het magazine werd gedurende de dag herhaald en ververst. Na een paar maanden werden de bulletins uitgebreid en was er overdag elk uur een volledig nieuw bulletin te zien. In november 2004 werd de programmering uitgebreid met algemene RTL Nieuws-uitzendingen. Sindsdien was er van 09.00 tot 18.00 uur telkens aan het begin van het uur een nieuw blok met algemeen nieuws (ongeveer 7 minuten) en financieel-/economisch nieuws (ongeveer 8 minuten). Het complete blok werd daarna doorgaans twee keer herhaald.

That isn’t really true, yes they did work together but Kanaal/Canal Z never ‘owned’ RTL Z, RTL owns RTL Z, Kanaal/Canal Z owns Kanaal/Canal Z, simple enough right?

well no. only french and dutch and a minority of 80 000 inhabitants speaking german. so just remember: french and dutch. and belgium is really densely populated, theyre nearly 12 million. Canadians are 38 million.
