Belgrade Waterfront is a large-scale project for the development of territories in the capital of Serbia on the Sava River. The initiative was launched in 2014 by the Government of Serbia in partnership with Eagle Hills, a leading Abu Dhabi-based private investment and development company focused on creating new urban centers in fast-growing international markets. About $3.5 billion will be invested in the project, jointly by the Serbian government and their UAE partners.

The Belgrade on Water project represents a significant transformation of the urban area, aimed at creating modern residential, commercial and entertainment areas. It includes the construction of residential complexes, shopping centers, office buildings, hotels and cultural sites. The main goal of the project is to transform the coastline of the Sava River into an attractive and dynamic space that will become a new center of attraction for residents and guests of the capital.
Serbia is actively looking for investors from the countries of the East and Asia, which emphasizes their desire for international cooperation and attracting capital to implement ambitious projects. Belgrade na Voda is a prime example of such cooperation, demonstrating a successful partnership between the Serbian government and foreign investors.
The creation of a new urban center on the Sava River will not only improve Belgrade's infrastructure, but will also contribute to the economic development of the region, creating new jobs and attracting tourists. Belgrade Waterfront is expected to become an important factor in the growth and modernization of the Serbian capital, representing a symbol of progress and innovation in the urban environment.

Well, for now it’s just a small project, but it’s interesting how it will develop in the future. I hope everything will be calm in this region in military and economic terms.

Thank you for watching. Today the tourist flow to Serbia is not very large. It is bypassed by Hungary, Croatia and any nearby countries. It’s good when tourists and guests visit Serbia. Cultural exchange between countries is important.

I am very surprised that in 3 years it turned out to be 100% done. Do you think they will be able to buy such apartments in Belgrade today for 600k? It seems to me more profitable to invest such money in quieter countries, there was constant unrest around Serbia....

I live nearby, in the youngest settlement in the country - Бусије, also with the biggest Вашар, a popular event in Serbia - resembles a temporary amusement park. Once, the land, in a few months, more than doubled in price, and in about last three years increased multiple times, for lack of money, and care of my family - we missed the stationary (old) price, yet, got some land later, at, at the time, new cost, even for such increase - was a good investment. Only if my illiterate family would have listened, yet, I am glad they did not, the previous owners would not use that extra money worse than my family.

@@tripwithAndrewmainly artists (music etc) entrepreneurs, business men and foreigners, sometimes ‚average‘ people win apartments there too. Some buildings are more expensive, some are more affordable for less rich people. All in all, the request/ demand seems to be high & affordable for the project.

The price of real estate is determined by purchasing power. You could have made this video without that politically biased viewpoint that has nothing to do with reality. The protests have nothing to do with Belgrade Waterfront.

political protests are not related to the price of real estate in this project. It's a completely different story

@@tripwithAndrew The political protests you showed have nothing to do with Belgrade Waterfront at all. One is from a protest against lockdowns during Covid, and the other is after a tragic mass shooting.

How big is corruption in modern Serbia? How do you evaluate it and how does it manifest itself? (Except for the lack of money for the construction of the metro or light rail)

@@tripwithAndrew Extremely big, high and low level. Arab and to a much bigger extent Chinese companies are giving loans to Serbian government, that is, serbian citizens for projects that are done by chinese companies that are employing chinese workers and in return they are filling serbian politicians pockets. Those loans are so big that even their grandchildren won't be able to pay them. That's high level corruption, low level like when people have to give handouts to doctors if they want to get propper medical attention, police officers if they don't want to get a ticket for something they didn't do etc. that I won't even bother to write about.
