Surely that is a clear case of entrapment? There's a sign saying to go inside and meet the team, you go inside and then they detain and search you. That's pure 100% entrapment. I actually think this is one of the most disgusting videos of the police I've ever seen. They were the ones with the sign out and the door wide open, inviting the public in. That is clear. They then tried to put everything on you. It's absolutely disgraceful. Seriously, the whole lot of them should be stripped of their jobs because this is beyond ridiculous 😡 The arrogant one said towards the end that you are free to go, I suggest you leave the area. So not only have they pulled all of these disgusting stunts, no less than malicious entrapment, they are now telling you to leave a public place. If that police station is a valuable target the doors should not be left wide open.Simple. The police need to look at their own security procedure and stop blaming others.

It also has restricted waste bags open and freely accessible to members of the public walking around. If they contained personal details that would be a breach of GDPR. The entire management staff at this station should be sacked. The most chaotic badly organised police and station I have seen. Meanwhile London’s streets are awash with crime and you can’t find an officer anywhere on the streets.

No Police Constable has any right to detain a person "forcibly" for an inquiry Kevin V Gardiner 1967 Suspects stopped in the street In Kenlin v Gardiner [1967] 1 510 a police officer took hold of the arm of a boy who he wanted to question about the latter's suspicious conduct. The boy did not believe the man was a policeman, despite having been shown a warrant card, and punched the officer in order to escape. The other boy behaved similarly and their convictions for assaulting an officer in the execution of his duty were quashed by the Divisional Court. The court held that the boys were entitled to act as they did in self-defence as the officer's conduct in trying to physically apprehend them had not been legal.
Yeah the problem with that is, as soon as you lay a finger on them, they'll hit the panic button on their radio and within 30 seconds, 10 of them will have you on the ground in cuffs with tasers drawn screaming "STOP RESISTING!" Next thing you know you're up in the magistrates court on charges of assaulting a police officer, and you'll probably go straight to jail. Do not pass Go, do not collect £200. Quoting Kenlin v Gardiner is all well and good but it'd be unlikely to hold any water in this situation.

My fave bit was halfway in when you pointed out to the two newly arrived cops the sign asking*people to come inside.! They looked completely dumbfounded.
Why is God's name do we have Police officers like this lot. There was absolutely no suspicion of any offence in their minds, other than their own stupid negligence, Their actions then descended into punishment - how can we make this as unpleasant as possible for this bloke who has shown us up. How did you not see they were wasting time. The dude who searched you, playing with his notepad instead of giving you your copy of the search record. The one who says he ticks all the boxes means he smokes pole. As for the entry, any reasonable member of the public would see that sign and assume that entry is permitted, especially as the security didn't challenge you. If this went to court I'd be very surprised if a judge didn't simply say be more careful and then chuck it out.

I can’t wrap my head around how they can react like this, they’re treating it like you jumped a fence or something to get into the police station. If somewhere has a sign welcoming you inside with a door wide open how can you be surprised when someone walks in? Then on top of all that multiple officers know who you are and are fully aware of what your intentions are.

The way the police handled this is so bad. It's there error with this sign but all all through the video they do nothing to correct it, first mistake. Then they turn it around and try and blame someone else for their incompetence !

After watching many auditing videos Ive come to the conclusion there are a lot of police with nothing better to do, like fight crime for example, i.e. their job.
This is why its a good idea to defund majority of the police as its mainly social issues they deal with or respond to due to lack of gov investment/neglect in other areas. Majority of serious crime is diverted to specialist units with officers with a brain cell or two
I can't believe how many of them I see on these videos that clearly don't know the laws, if I didn't know the ins and outs of my job I'd be sacked. If you hired a plumber to fix the sink and they hadn't a clue what tools to use you would kick them out before they caused damage. I think a huge documentary film needs making with auditors joining to bring more awareness about police negligence in this country.

I believe that the search slip you received wasn’t the first slip he wrote. You see him move to another slip and carry on writing. So I believe you didn’t get the original search slip. Would be nice to see what was wrote on that first slip.

@THE MOST TARGETED CITIZEN This is an activity I only just became aware of in this video. I seriously can not believe what I just watched. I am confused about what grounds they are holding him on and continue to go on a witch hunt. At best it was an honest misunderstanding that is clear. The officer PC Stones conduct is appalling and I mean to file a complaint with the met for that and also for the gross negligence of the security and as you say it did look like evidence bags were simply laying about. That alone could be a serious security risk to data, chain of command of evidence if it is evidence in the bags etc and many others. Everyone in the UK who has watched this should submit a complaint to the metropolitan police if you agree.
I don't think that was a lawful search, seeing as you were invited inside the property by the sign. The problem here is the lack of security at the premises. Unless they specifically saw you trying to steal something, which they clearly didn't, I don't think there are any grounds for suspicion. Only suspicion without grounds.

It's time people started to sue the police for £5.000 to start with but I feel £10.000 would be a fair starting point and the best way to stop all the police lies and abuse. Yeah they get all ants in their pants about people on the street with a camera failing to take into account that you can see all the same things from your home using Google Street View. If someone really was carrying out "hostile reconnaissance" it would never be done overtly. “A reasonable person would know walking round a police station is not acceptable” You could argue a reasonable police officer would know which section to use and how long you can detain someone after a search.
A reasonable person would think it's absolutely fine to walk in and record everything (in case they later got accused of crimes they didn't commit) when the door is wide open to a publicly funded building with a sign saying "Come and meet..."
The part of the incident that I would be more concerned about is when officer Stone said that the police search Will continue, even after you've left the 'alleged' crime scene and I'd be afraid that they would fabricate evidence of criminal damage etc. Then waiting for days or maybe weeks to conclude that no evidence was found.
It amazes me how none of them can rise above the incompetence and calm the situation and see things for what they are. They know why you are there, they know who you are but none of them have the confidence to go against the moron detaining you.
