They ruined the illusion by making the board fly WAY too high. if they had kept it closer to the ground, it might have fooled more people. If something is built on the premise of "hovering" it has to have a surface to hover on, and making it fly so high like that makes it implausible, because it would lose control the farther it travels form the surface. -Which is the whole reason a hover board can't work, the inconsistency of the surface you would use it on.
The funniest is Terrell Owens' shirt. When he's talking, his shirt fits nicely, then the next shot when he's on the board, his shirt is suddenly all out of wack.
While its hard to believe, I'm not going to take that as proof, that could have easily been power lines and the crane I think you are talking about is a billboard. I doubt they would put all that effort into a project to leave evidence behind. Regardless, its very hard to think of this as real, but it is 100% possible, so I'll have my fingers crossed.
I love that people feel the need to call this out as a fake... seriously? come on... if the tech did exist to do this without a special track (mag lev trains) then don't you think we would have seen it on more useful things than a glorified skateboard first?
It baffles me how gullible society is.. On second thought, no it doesn't. Shadow of a crane + a cable pulling the guy from a cable: Freeze frame at 3:28 for proof
What a slick production! I especially liked the Lloyd emotional moment near the end. lol They must have had a good size budget to make this video. Guitar Hover girl is hot!
You really need to watch it on a computer or laptop because you can see that there shoulders are hooked for example terrell owens has really rounded shoulders but when he rode the board his shoulders because square you can see that on everyone you just need to look carefully
I'm from 2079, hoverboards already exist (but not with that 1980s sci-ti name lol). But they don't fly like this, it's hard to explain, but I can say they are extremely thinn and still fly like in the movies
I'm wondering why there isn't a bigger crowd watching in the distance? surely other members of the public walking by would be interested what was going on if this was a genuine demo of the latest technology?
The thing is it's actually somewhat simple to build your own. It's called biogravitics. Look into Viktor grabennikov. Beetles actually don't fly they levitate due to a nano structure of hexagonal and pyramidal shapes. He made a hoverboard in like the early sixties. No motors, no electronics. Just wood and beetles wings on a platform with control levers
nice little dreammercial. i've been thinking about BTTF and they should do a version called the Back to the future Reset in where they reset the film with what actual technology that exist today because how did they miss the cell phone when there were actual cell phones back then?. with the invention of AI they can recreate any character and make many variations from a algorithm as it creates numerous other episodes. haha Long Live the Spirit of BTTF Best trilogy EVER!!. thanks to all the actors and people that made it happen
When this came out I remember begging my parents to get it. We got it but on the website it had a stop watch. later the stop watch stopped and they revealed it was fake. That was a weird moment lol
Actually we made a real hoverboard from taking negative magnets and positive magnets and when you put the positive on the negative the positive floats ta dah literally just search it up.
@@appleaplle7410 "when you put the positive on the negative the positive floats" opposites attract, it would be north to north or south to south to repel
"The HUVr Board team ultimately aims to improve the efficiency, speed and sustainability of mass transportation. Yet rather than spend several more years closed off from the world while investing in research and development, the team and our world-class investors have worked to change the economics R&D by marketing this exciting consumer product in order to fund ongoing R&D." - From the website. Still trying to figure out if this is real though
The lesson of the video, and subtly what they are trying to tell you is this. How easy it is , with modern technology, to get people to believe just about anything. Especially if they want to believe it.
You are totally right! It was a very minimal and weak example of their capabilities of deception! But still an example. I am surprised anybody thought that was real. I hope I couldn't be fooled by that. It looked fake af !
every joke has a bit of truth. It turns out that he also lived in Russia, also a little strange, but a serious scientist who invented a gravity-flying aircraft in the 90s. Also a small board, which has a maximum speed with a person - 2 km per second and takes off to a height of 5-10 km. Scientist's name: Viktor Grebennikov. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1ZA7xoNs6sw.html
Are people really becoming this desperate for views? This isn't smart marketing, or a viral idea and not even funny. This is just really bad taste. They picked a subject they knew people would click on and paid a bunch of celebrity's to talk shit and actually pissed me off. What does this video achieve? Where did the creativity go internet?
WAVEY 拍子 It's fishing for views and subs. It might get hits but what value does it add to a company? What are they actually trying to sell here? If somebody subscribes to this account because they think they will be able to buy a hoverboard and then suddenly they start trying to sell you woman's underwear, those subsribers are going to get pretty pissed off.
TheXorph64 Give it time. You think they would spend this much money on a video without there being a hidden agenda? If that's the case then awesome. But lets see.
***** glad there are still people with a brain on the internet. stuff like this doesn't really piss me off. it's seeing the insane amount of people on facebook commenting about how this is real, or if it's real or not, debating. like how can you have a fucking iq over 25 and even consider this to be real for 1 nanosecond? i can't stand how gullible people are.
yeah... i was fooled by this... not this video but another one they did... and they had a countdown on their website for when you could buy it... and tony hawk... I TRUSTED YOU!!! xD
lddevo88 their shirts slightly leave their shoulders when they elevate. compare that to the interview, and its clear a harness was used and erased with video editing
I don't know what make me sadder... the fact that hoverboards still don't exist, or the amount of people who don't know what this is referencing despite the number of times it's been brought up.
Obviously fake, some sort of marketing campaign. But they really shouldn't be playing with people's feelings like that, I've wanted a hover board all my life :-(
SuperSaf TV you are right mate, and for everyone that thinks it's real just type in *flux pinning demonstration* on youtube..if you want to see something real
sonia anselmo exactly sonia anselmo, tell me why the fuck am i a loser? because i told you the truth about this shitty hoverboard? if you believed it then the only loser here, is you.
I really don't think it is. Mark Cuban, a renowned investor, is part of the team. If you know anything about business or investment, that name has a lot of significance to you. Granted, they can say anyone's a part of anything. Although I'm sure he would have made a statement about it by now if he wasn't involved.
"...so much work for a fake video." What does "so much work" mean with relativity to this video? A simple "string/wire maneuver?" This technique has been around for dozens of years. Look at the Back to the Future movies; they did this trick in the 80s. There's NOTHING special about this video. They've been polishing this crap for years. However, ACTUAL hover boards are coming VERY soon! They have the technology, but perfecting it so anyone can use it, is what's taking so long. Just saying, is all.
BrockLee3 on a side note the technology exists, and has existed for these for almost a decade, the cost is simply so high and materials so rare no one will produce them
The popularity of this video highlighted the pent-up thirst for some next-level technology. We were all willing to shut down our questioning brains because we wanted this tech to happen so badly. This video does a great job of demonstrating how insufficient our 'post-modern' society is. What's worse? 140 characters have become the gold-standard of innovation.
never . if this was real Then they would have brought big headlines in NEWSPAPER OR TV: VIDEOS on youtube and co you can never believe (most) where it is about what incredible. Be it yetis etc
I wish I could have been involved in this experience. Being suspended by a harness while having a fake hoverboard attached to my feet would be quite thrilling.
I hope this becomes a reality eventually. The only hoverboard we have now is that giant drone, that one guy built that he can fly on (it's not really a hoverboard).
On behalf of the nerd community: If you're dicking around with us, prepare for retribution the likes of which has not been seen since the Great X-ray Glasses Mail Ad Scandal of 1984. Do not incur our wrath.

That statement is just there to save their ass in case some low life piece of shit trys to sue them because they don't have a job, nor can make their own living. That is all... Don't be ignorant, it is strictly their for legal reasons.
Does it come with the crane? or do you have to buy that separate? LOL! The back of their shirts gives it away, you can even tell how their weight shifts. Cool concept but it will NEVER happen.. At least not that high off the ground.. lol
I find it hilarious, and incredibly sad, that anyone could have been fooled by this. If you are so easily duped by the wire work that they obviously used to create the hoverboard effect, then you deserve to feel stupid for falling for it. Don't blame anyone involved in this project for your inability to recognize a complete work of fiction. It was an enjoyable video, but clearly a fabrication. If you're observant, check out the section with Terrell Owens again (2:08). Notice anything obvious between when he is talking about his "experience" and when he is actually "riding" the hoverboard? His harness is sticking out of his shirt...
This is a great video, but an incredibly cruel hoax. Why would you do this to us!? This better be a ploy to get attention for another Back to the Future movie.
Actually, it needs to ve a wire, this was just a test, its not finished so they need security messures, and also on all the video there are no wires, except from that part
It's not April yet, guys. For that matter it's not 2015 yet. Just one of those things you know isn't real but would kill for to make it real. If these are ever made, I'm quitting my career and becoming a professional hoverskater.
