Belinda is a rock star! .... great live & studio vocalist, fantastic song writer and her showmanship is positively regal. I love the way she speaks in this clip. Awesome. Thank you vm for this post.
love her style in that time period. during the release of "a woman and a man" she had the hottest look and style/dresses, surely influenced of her new home in france.
Her voice is very interesting. She has this high-pitched tone wich reminds me of her Gogos years, but she has that low raspy voice like she did on the Real album. Great singer.
"Great singer"?!? You better shut up. From such a stupid comment, I conclude that you have never attended a single music class in your life! She sounds like some female cartoon character trying to sing without success and everyone laughing at her.
I don't know why Belinda allowed herself to be dragged into rehashing the drugs story. This is 1996 and she was in fact still doing drugs, ALOT of drugs at this time which she admitted to in her book, I'd have tried to avoid the question rather than blatantly LIE about it.
Finally one of the few people who is objective, and thank you for that. She sounds like some female cartoon character trying to sing without success and everyone laughing at her. 🤣🤣
I hate that she had to give that story about not doing drugs. I read her book and at this point she was doing cocaine in excess. She even mentioned that this album (A Woman And A Man) was her worst album because "I was more interested in idea of being in Malibu than making an album," since she didn't keep a coke hookup at her home in France.
I agree. Sure the girls partied for a very narrow period but should it taint the phenomenal legacy? No! They do the same to Debbie Harry. Anyway, Belinda is beyond legendary!
