It's more than a hint, she got fantastic vibrato, and always perfectly placed, in tune, and gorgeously delivered. Truly one of rock / pops greatest vocalists.

Was in the Navy when this song was released. Between endless time at sea and working eighteen-hour days, we'd sometimes get a little time in port, and this was on MTV in the bars around the naval base. Will always remember Belinda singing to us as we sat, exhausted, nursing our beers and falling in love with her, one at a time, as she looked at us over the back of the car seat, hair tousled and eyes shining.

I went to quote a few concerts back in the day, most of them rock/hard rock, and the GoGos was hands down the best I ever saw. A tight TIGHT band who knew how to have fun and just fucking play hard. It was a 2 HR nonstop rock n roll party.
