Belize Barrier Reef Snorkeling Video 

What a wonderful video! I'm envious that you saw spotted trunkfish, a checkered puffer, an octopus, and the school of permits. I saw a couple of permits at Hol Chan, but not a whole school. For anyone going to Ambergris Caye, in addition to Hol Chan, other snorkeling spots that I enjoyed were Mexico Rocks and Coral Gardens. Coral Gardens is off of Caye Caulker. Unfortunately, you need to take a boat to get to the good snorkeling spots. There was surprisingly good marine life under the dock at Ramon's Village, which is the only good place I found to snorkel from the shore.

The water look very shallow, I am going to Belize in January 😃and I want to snorkel so bad. How deep in the water here? I’m not a good swimming and I don’t like to be in deep water but I want to experience this so bad. 😢
