Bobby lost his mother, father, Whitney and daughter Bobbi Kristina. It's only by the grace of God this man is still standing and so well deserved to be honored.

God is indeedworking.I've been with New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe, Bobby Brown , Ralh Tresvant , Johnny Gill and every version of and off shoot of New Edition since I was 11 years old and I'll be with them until the end. @Cynthia Dickerson. Actually, Ricky has publicly acknowledged/confessed that he was hitting that Coca powder for many years. But overall, we should collectively be proud that these guys didn't go apeshyt crazy & tank (die prematurely of overdoses or some other tragic situations). Now it would be nice if these four straightened out their relational issues with Ralph & Johnny. [SEE Ricky's interview with DJVlad-TV if you're so inclined].
Ya know! They danced sooo much better than anyone else back in the day. So now they don't dance exactly as well, but still better than everybody else and they're in their 40s & 50s. If they keep fit, they'll be doing this in their 70s.

People clowned Whitney relentlessly for calling him the King of R&B. Now everyone is saying it. She loved him so much she was willing to dim her light to make sure he had a chance to shine.

Supposedly he has two other brothers that never got mentioned. Everyone here wants to talk about him and god, but if he truly had god in him all of his brothers would have gotten a mention; this let me know that all you god talking people have no idea who god really is. Turn and get a clue.

The word of God does state that you can strive for perfection. Meaning the closer you get to god others around you can see, hear and feel the difference. Because you used the word christian is a word the world uses. Therefore making everyone a christian.
If God is real and he is .then they are alive in spirit . like the word says say not to those who have died that they are dead!! Yes they all look very good for brothers in there early 50’s and kept there Body’s in very good shape but bobby did put on a lot of weight but he’s lost a lot of it he looks very good now because some people weight makes u you older then u are so good thing to get rid of all that weight it didn’t fit him because he was always so slim as a kid. How ever people do look good with a little weight on them it just fits them. But he looks great.
He's been thru so much. Lost so many people that he loved and yet he's still standing here today. Cuz God is good all the time. God is telling him I'm here with you watching you. It's not your time. You can see he is breaking Down when he's talking. God loves this man. He's a good man. I'm sure Whitney and his daughter are looking down smiling. They are so proud of the man he has become. Forget Prince, MJ and James Brown for a minute (there goes your top-3 argument, right?), you’re not considering names like the following: Jackie Wilson Sammy Davis, Jr. Elvis MC Hammer That’s an additional 4 names that one can argue were as good as or better than Bobby as stage performers. *Best of the rest:* Chris Brown Bruno Mars Usher NeYo Fred Estaire Gene Kelly Chuck Berry Nat King Cole Otis Redding Chris, Bruno, Usher, and NeYo would DEFINITELY hold their own against Bobby on stage, although Usher is probably the only one who could have matched his sex appeal - until women found out his d*ck was drippin green sh*t, that is. *Names you might not consider that deserve consideration:* David Ruffin El DeBarge Ricky Martin Ritchie Valenz Marvin Gaye Stevie Wonder Alfonso Ribeiro Wayne Brady Frank Sinatra 2Pac (mfka didn’t even have to dance!) As bad a mfka as Bobby was, you can argue that he wasn’t even top-10. He never reached his full potential. That in no way diminishes his accomplishments. He was one of MY top-10 favorites. Don’t know if Marvin and Stevie deserve to be up there, because every other name up there was at least a triple-threat that includes dancing. Some are quadruple-threats (Bobby Brown, Usher, NeYo, Chris Brown, etc.). Marvin and Stevie were triple-threats, but without dancing. Don’t forget about pure performers like Brady and Ribeiro. Oh my goodness he sooooo deserves this 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 I'm a huge fan of these men I've loved them since I was a teenager many moons ago. Bobby Brown went solo and his album is still to this day one of my favorites. I'm so happy for him 😢😢😢 😪 Could swear somebody cutting onions

About time the King Bobby Brown is getting his deserved respect. Chris Brown needs to show homeage to the King as well. His stage presence is so similar to this King right here. King Bobby Brown is a strong Black Man. This award was long overdue. He is always acknowledging God, and always Humble!

Awww he made me cry. No one knows what Bobby has went through dealing with the industry and devils. He will ALWAYS be part of New Edition. Only they KNOW the truth about why they really broke up.

He spoke his blessings into the atmosphere and I feel blessed just hearing them. Bobby story hasn't been easy, and if anyone ever knew the depth of waters that this man has swam through you could truly appreciate him and thank him for remaining so strong. He is a force to be reckoned with. He is powerful and he is strong. He is fragile yet he still survives. That is amazing.
