Season 3 showed Bad Bellamy. Season 5 was showed Bad Octavia. We see the worst in these characters in these particular seasons. Both of them were to tough spots emotionally.
@frakkintoasterluvva7920
@frakkintoasterluvva7920 5 лет назад
Nope, they would have still hated him, because they didn't care about reasoning or his motivation or actual actions. You could see his reasoning in other scenes. He said the same things in episode 3x05 - Lexa/Trikru betrayed them at Mount Weather, Trikru killed 37 of the Delinquents before the adults even came down. All true. The "Ice Nation bad, Trikru good" narrative they tried to impose in season 3 didn't make sense. And the first time an army of 300 Trikru warriors came to the Skykru camp, they were trying to kill everyone. Why would any of them trust Lexa and not assume that she could change her mind again and betray them again - say, make an alliance with the Ice Nation as she did with the Mountain Men - and that that army wouldn't just start killing everyone at Arkadia if that happened? Now, I don't actually think they reasoning was sound when they decided to kill that army - because they didn't have any evidence it would have attacked them, and starting the war was a terrible idea, as it would have ended up in a destruction of either side. But they had goof reasons to mistrust the Grounders.

Nina-Rae DeLong Octavia seemed pretty bad to me in season 3, with he way she abused her brother, and constantly choose to see the worst in him and blame him for everything. I know she was hurting and lashing out... But I never understood her whole "I am a Grounder deal", or why she was always looking for home/family in other places (Lincoln - even back when she barely knew him, Indra...). Why? Because she didn't like the Ark for the way she had to be kept hidden? How was that ever Bellamy's fault?

THIS IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT SCENE the whole beginning to middle of season 3 makes bellamy look so irrational. sure he lost his girlfriend and had to deal with killing ppl in mt weather but he never talks about it so you have to really look deep to see his intentions and not see him as the bad guy. I think this scene shows how he understands not all grounders are bad, he likes lincoln and considers him a friend, but in bellamy's eyes he sees trikru as the ppl who murdered his friends and left him at mt weather to die, even indra. especially indra. because she was one of the few he trusted. grounders have done nothing but betray him, he doesnt know about clarke and lexa's relationship bc if he did hed know how lexa wouldnt attack clarkes ppl because she cares about her. he doesnt know about all the provisions she made to assure that even if she died skaikru would be safe. all he knows is from inside arcadia, the attack on mt weather, being left at mt weather, and the 37 of HIS ppl the grounders killed. an integral part of bellamy's character is how much he feels the responsible for the 100 and losing so many of his people to the grounders really warped his sense of right and wrong. i in no way agree with his actions in this season and even bob himself and the other cast members said it was a little out of character for bellamy to go this dark, however, you can clearly see how badly bellamy just wants to keep his people safe and he sees pike as the best way to do that. he looked up the kane but when their opinions differed kane dismissed him instead of trying to persuade him to come to the right side. pike became the new figure to look up to for bellamy and he latched on and looked towards pike for approval as well as a way to push his agenda of keeping his people safe. the ends dont always justify the means but i think this scene really shows bellamys intentions and mindset and why he sided wiht pike. it makes his actions more understandable, not okay, but understandable. i really wish they kept it in.

yes , There was also a cut scene (but never released- I think Christopher Larkin mentioned it at a con) where Monty and Monroe were having a drink and talking about Pike. Monty said he followed Pike because of loyalty to his mom, and Monroe said she followed Pike because of her loyalty to Bellamy. She would do anything Bellamy says. To me that is important and shows a closeness they had with Monroe, also explains why Monty rushed into the poison fog to try and save her, and also it shows why her death effected Bellamy. She was more than Monroe, to Monty and Bellamy; she was their friend. I realize scenes have to be cut because of time, but to me.. that would have been a way better scene than Clarke drawing Lexa's picture...

I'm actually with Pike's side in season 3. Grounders always betrayed them and leaving Clarke alone on Mount Weather is the last straw for me. I don't get why people got so soft with them. I bet if Clarke didn't wiped out Mt. Weather, Lexa will never accept them as 13th clan and they will bully what was left of Sky people.

Why is Octavia surprised Bellamy doesn't trust Indra when she literally left them to be tortured and killed at the end of season two? That's the problem with season 3. Plenty of things make sense if you keep the ending of season two in mind, but it's like the writers are writing two different disconnected narratives.

Kara Burch the grounders didn't kill them btw... clarke said it "you worry about your people I worry about mine" to Lexa and lexa made a decision that Clarke or kane or even Bellamy would have done too ... At least Lexa redeemed herself to the skaikru by killing the Ice queen and protect them ... Bellamy will have to do the same to the grounder at some point after what he have done :\ because he fucked up pretty good this season ...
@sonyakennedy3338
@sonyakennedy3338 7 лет назад
wooah.. Lexa did not kill Queen Nia to protect skaikru.. She killed The Ice Queen because, Nia challenged her for Power .. she knew that even if she killed Roan in battle, Nia wanted Ontari to become commander and that would give Nia power.. Nia could not be trusted to NOT start a war. Nia had the power to do that because ice nation had the numbers. The only reason Lexa cared about skaikru (if she did at all) was because of Clarke. Titus saw that.. She had already chosen her own people in MW over Skaikru and thats what Bellamy saw. She chose her people first. Bellamy saw Trekru kill his people the moment they landed. He didnt see a difference between trekru and Ice nation.. to him they all had killed and attacked his people. He trusted them twice Trekru betrayed him at MW in season 2, and Ice nation betrayed him at MW in season 3..

sonya kennedy here's a thing sweetheart : Trikru didn't start killing the 100. the skaikru killed themself : 2 because of the landing charlotte killed wells charlotte killed herself 3 killed by the acid fog ( the only killed by the hand of grounder was warned) ... then the skaikru burned en entire village with those firework and tortured lincoln ... after that the grounder saw them as a threat and wanted to killed them off with reason! let us remember who say : I do it for my people or i'm always doing what's best for my people (and ended up killing 300 innocents warriors who was sent to protect them (from lexa's order) Lexa might have done some nasty thing but at least she doesn't have any innocent skaikru blood on her hand!

I'll never understand why shows cut scenes like this out that actually help explain SO much and seem really important to the story
@Hotdogenthusiast
@Hotdogenthusiast 2 года назад
Unfortunately, tv shows are not like streaming shows that don’t care if they fit the 41 minute mark exactly because they have to make way for the commercials. A steaming service’s episodes Can be as long as they want in order to tell the story as best as possible. Allowing this scene in means another scene, that’s probably more important in the long run, gets cut out. Why they don’t include the scenes when it’s on dvd or the actual streaming service is frustrating since it’s a cool feature that would make fans pay to watch. But yeah wish they would keep all the deleted scenes and add them as a bonus/extended cut. Makes for a more compelling version.

Everyone saying that it would have made sense if they had left this scene in, that people would've hated Bellamy less, have to keep in mind that what Jason was going for this season was darkness. I think he might've wanted to try and MAKE people hate Bellamy. Besides in the beginning of season one, Bellamy has been a pretty "good" guy. So I just think Jason tried to take the show in a different direction and as we can see, not many people appreciated it. I for one, always understood why Bellamy did what he did, even if I didn't personally agree with his actions. The thing about The 100 is there is no shining white knight or heroic princess character that is completely innocent or 100% "good". There's a reason one of the main catch phrases of the show is "Maybe there are no good guys". It's what makes it so unique and so enjoyable to watch. The first half of season 3 I think was a low point for a lot of viewers. It didn't feel right, and I'm so glad that they turned it around in season four. Bob is an incredible actor and I'm super psyched to see next season.

Not appreciated it? Well I mean, bad writing is bad writing. I wouldn't appreciate such a thing as well. Character development was thrown out the window for the sake of the plot afterall. Bellamy was made the bad guy to serve the plot. Any way you look at it, that's not good writing. JRoth stated in one of his interviews that he thought S2 Bellamy was too good, and thus S3 Bellamy happened. It's such a huge disservice and insult to his character to make his character 180 turn just so the story can move in a certain direction. It should be the characters that drive the story.

This scene makes episode 4x04 even more upsetting. Bellamy doesn't trust Grounders, because he's been betrayed and almost killed by them numerous times. Skaikru was betrayed once again by Grounders in episode 4x04 and now Bellamy believes that a Grounder murdered his sister, the only family he has in the world. I hope he doesn't try to avenge Octavia, because that would mean Bad Bellamy is back.
@sonyakennedy3338

I don't think he will lump them together.. because he saw where he was wrong in the past. But he may feel different about Azgeda.. or at least Echo ! Im curious if they will show him dealing with the loss or skip over that too.. ugg, I think this will push him farther into Clarke's arms for comfort tho ... But the sad part is as he is trying to do better.. the grounders make it hard for him.. also its interesting to see the Blake reunion if it comes.. he will want to embrace her but will she still push him away? that would be sad too damn it..
@nina-raedelong158
@nina-raedelong158 7 лет назад
If Octavia's still angry with Bellamy about Lincoln's death, then I give up on the character. Bellamy made a mistake siding with Pike, but Lincoln's death was in no way his fault. Bellamy could have helped her free the Grounders, but she drugged him. He let her give Lincoln a proper funeral and sacrificed himself to save her from Emerson. He was there to be her voice of reason when all she wanted to do was kill Pike in the finale. If that doesn't count as making amends, I don't know what is. She seemed worried in the season 4 premiere when Echo held a knife to Bellamy's throat.
@latraeosborne3287

@@nina-raedelong158 Bellamy gave Pike support and a platform to do the things he did. Bellamy definitely had a hand in how things went down. @@nakoda787 Oh I did hate him. I understood him and still hated him. Bellamy is very driven by his own emotions and ignores the bigger picture. Season one, despite being warned that everyone on the ark was in danger, he did all he could to prevent them from coming down resulting in hundreds of deaths. In this season, he's driven by his guilt and anger over trusting Echo which resulted in Mount Weather being destroyed. Bellamy only looks at what's been done to him, and ignores how his actions have incited hostile actions from others. The grounders started hunting The 100 after their flares burned a village down and got people killed, because of Bellamy. Bellamy saying that Lincoln is different is like a racist saying the one black friend they have is "one of the good ones". And besides all that, putting yourself at war with the entire world is just stupid.

@@breezy3392 I had to watch the video over and over again to get what’s even happening in this time point, so it’s kinda difficult to say anything when I haven’t watched the show in over a year. From what I remember, though, I see what you’re saying. However, I think he cares about others more than most of the characters in the show do, but when I think about it, it seems like it was only people really close to him (but that makes complete sense). Yet, then again, there was the time he had a whole break down because he couldn’t save those people from the black rain. So I guess not completely. He definitely grew a lot throughout the seasons.

Alright, I'm gonna get salty... this scene should have been included instead of having all that unnecessary extra lexa/clexa fan service/scenes. IT WAS LESS THAN TWO MINUTES!!! This scene was VERY important! The writers made Bellamy look so bad that season, and then made lexa look like a peacemaker and savior, probably to get more love and hype for a character they were just going to kill off! And made everyone hate and hate on Bellamy, and they'll always hold what he did against him. No character on the 100 is perfect. Now THAT was some bad writing. Also, keep in mind snowflakes, this is just an opinion! I don't hate Lexa or Clexa, I just hate the haters and people who can't accept and respect other people's opinions. Ugh, okay, I'm done venting. 😧😤😩
@sonyakennedy3338

thats the problem, almost like they cut this scene so we could watch Clarke sketch Lexa while she slept! They did a huge diiservice to Bellamy's character, so mant people have a hard time looking at the characters point of view. The audience knows things the character does not know. Bellamy was not privy to Clarke and Lexa's deal making. He saw the grounders as a threat. The writers really made Clarke look bad too.. She should have been the one to talk to her people and explain what was going on... no one filled in Arkadia until it was too late.

If I was bellamy I would have wanted that army to leave too. I wouldn't have killed or even try to hurt them. But Lexa changed her mind and betrayed them at Mount Weather, so what would happen if she changed her mind again. We all know she did it for Clarke and that she really wanted peace, but Bellamy didn't know that. We got to know Lexa and liked her, but Bellamy only knew her as the commander who he had been in war with in season 1, betrayed them in season 2 and now made Clarke leave them in season 3. He never even talked to her. I wouldn't trust her too.
@breezy3392
@breezy3392 2 года назад
Lexa didn't just change her mind at Mount Weather. If she hadn't taken that deal, the mountain men could have started executing her people that they had imprisoned right then and there. We can hate he for leaving Skaikru, sure, but you can see why she did it. She was on the verge of loosing what she was there to fight for to begin with. And yeah, Bellamy is aware of that. A leader needs to be able to look at the big picture. Bellamy doesn't see past his own feelings. His actions in season one were driven by his own selfish fear that led to him causing the deaths of hundreds of people on the ark despite knowing what was at stake. His guilt and anger for trusting Echo and causing the destruction of Mount Weather is what's really driving him here

I think they should have included a scene where he spoke about the fact he was tortured in order to get them all out and then trikru left skaikru, meaning he was tortured for no reason. That seemed to be so over looked, he was was hung upside down, drained for blood, kept in a cage in nothing but underwear, starved, scrubbed untill he bled and a metal rode was shoved down his throat and was force fed pills through it, he did not go through that with zero mental/emotional damage. Monroe followed pike because of her loyalty with Bellamy... Monroe always followed Bellamys lead.. that scene i wish they had released, because it shows the impact that Monroe's death would have on both Monty ( who tried to save her when he risked his life rushing into the poison smoke to save her) and the impact it had on Bellamy.. which led him farther into Pikes path... They did not release that scene,, and i wish they would have.

Abuzz better than Kane..she meant they told. Bellamy that Octavia was trying to sneak out instead of Kane ..because Kane was the chancellor and Octavia would have gotten into bigger trouble. All this happened before Pike became chancellor and just before pike convinced Bellamy to get him guns.. in the end of this scene pike asks Bellamy to have a drink.. it was at this point that he played on Bellamy’s weakness and anger to bring him to his side. Bellamy asked Octavia if she could trust Indra to back them..it was clear he didn’t ..

Octavia is irritating with her blind Indra love. I understand there is no love loss between her and tptb that ran the ark but still. She'd sell the 100 up the river for Indra, the woman that throws her to the wolves in the blink of an eye. Look at how Indra didn't give two fucks that her brother was locked in Mount Weather. But there Octavia is like a puppy on the leash begging her master for scraps at the table. Yes her life sucked but she was plenty loved by her mom and brother. It's like a lonely girl accepting an abusive boyfriend because it's the first time she's felt love. It ain't healthy. All the characters are super flawed but Octavia needs the most help. I don't find her behavior badass or honorable. She stands on her soapbox while blindly excepting grounder crap. They would slaughter skaikru in a New York minute if it serves their purpose.

Sharon Allen So Indra is like her sensei, Octavia has a lot of respect for her because she made her feel like she had strength and potential. It broke her heart when she had to dishonor Indra's orders to find her bro,but eventually Indra came around when Octavia demonstrated her determination. She's tough on Octavia due to grounder influence.The only sky ppl Octavia ever cared for are from the drop ship n her bro.The rest of the ark are like her step parents. She will never feel close with them.

This scene doesn't change anything. Bellamy was still in the wrong. His reasonings were not based off of fact but just off of one expirience. No 1 can try say that bellamy n pike were right. Fair enough if they jus wanted ice nation dead but not every single grounder.

I only hate Bellamy bc he was with Pike. Like the whole Lincoln situation even when bell said “Lincoln’s different” he still allowed Pike to arrest him which ended up leading to Lincoln’s death. Now I don’t forgive Bellamy for that but I do still like him. Linctavia will always be in my heart but I do hold a grudge with Bell about Lincoln.

I hate the grounders, because they're so stupid and good for nothing but killing. I hated Bellamy only in S4 when he opened the bunker to let those people in. They killed so many of their own just to let in murders. I would've be more understanding if they chose some vulnerable ones of the grounders, like kids and ordinary people who doesn't like to kill, but what they did... left me speechless.

Me, too. I was shocked. Since his redemption after the culling, he has done everything for his people. But then, in s04, he doesn't even bat an eyelid that more than 300 Skaikru are going to be kicked out of the bunker because of him and his sister? Like, wtf? This doesn't even get mentioned once in s05, after getting confirmation that O's decision was, in fact, the worst decision ever (when in s02 we get at least two references about the fact that Clarke burned 300 warriors alive on s01). I loved this character and they ruined him.

@@silviabohemica7532 It always pisses me off, when people are ready to blame Clark for every choice she made for her people, but people never talk about what Bellamy did. He is always pure in their eyes. I love Bellamy, but I would never follow him, because his choices almost always were bad, while Clark (only 18 years old) were more mature than him, and wise enough to lead her people. She has never been an egoist, and if she has, I remember only times when she wanted to rescue Bellamy, because he was one of her most beloved people. She even sacrificed her mother for her people, and was always ready to give her own life. I guess its just because she is female, or else I can't explain the hate Clark gets.

@@aviendha3526 i think it's because Clarke has always had the higher moral ground since the first episode, so people expect unconsciously more from her. An example: if Murphy did what she did, people wouldn't be so shocked, because he started off really badly from the beginning....

I'm glad they left this out. This would've made bellamy look like a complete and utter manipulative narcissist. 'Do you honestly think inra would have your back?' Everyone's saying this scene was important but its clear that the acting wasn't good, which is most likely why it was deleted. The whole time I was watching this, I realized that its not like the rest of the show, they weren't really in character and it felt off. I think that's why it was deleted.
@sonyakennedy3338
@sonyakennedy3338 7 лет назад
brianna mills keep telling yourself that but you are wrong. It was deleted for time. The acting was on point for the characters. Bellamy was struggling with what had happened to his people but felt different about lincoln. If the acting was bad they would not have added it to the deleted scene reels. There are a lot of scenes that are deleted and they pick some of the best to showcase because that are proud of the work and want us to see them . They have to carefully edit scenes and shave things down for the story and they are trying to tell a lot in a tiny bit of time. Unfortunately they don't have time for everything.. this was a well done scene and I think the actors did a great job.
@brimaeda

Um, I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, I was just saying what I thought when I watched the video. I'm pretty sure my opinion can't be 'wrong'. I love the actors and they are honestly amazing but I just thought this scene was different. I know they don't have time for everything, obviously. And... they wouldn't necessarily keep a scene from the deleted scene reel if it wasn't as good because a scene not being as good may be a reason as to why they deleted it but they'd still want people to see it. ✌
