People out here are hating on Clarke for doing what she had to do to protect madi, but Clark's made it clear that madi's safety is her priority. The only thing clark has done wrong was letting madi out of her sight, she's just trying to keep her daughter safe.

Really Bellamy? Your family? All they are alive because Clarke's sacrifice.

This really made me see who clarke is. No matter what happens, no matter what other people say and even if it's wrong in so many ways. Clarke will do everything to protect those who she love most, even if it means many people will die. That's who Clarke is from the very beginning. Which is very scary too, like she's willing to destroy everything to protect just one person.

Honestly I get that Bellamy was just doing what Clarke had done in the past: whatever it took to protect his people, but at the same time I get where Clarke is coming from. For 6 years the only person she had was Madi, and while Clarke talked to Bellamy on the radio everyday he didn't get the messages and she didn't really know if he and the others were even alive and it was more to keep the connection that kept her centered, if only in her mind. Madi is her daughter that she has raised on her own and with literally no-one else for company for *6 years* . And while Bellamy may have some 2nd hand knowledge of the Flame, Clarke was with Lexa and saw first hand how limiting life as a Commander is: they're not allowed to really have any close relationships because they could be used as pawns or hurt to hurt the Commander (Costia) or killed if the people thought they were influencing the Commander too much (Titus tried to kill Clarke for just that), as far as I know they're not allowed to get married or have a family, they're at constant risk of being killed by their own people if they don't like their Heda's actions, pretty much their entire very short life is devoted to their people before they die violently. Talking of short life, Lexa had the flame since she was 12, and someone (can't remember who) said that she was Commander for longer than usual and she died when she was 20-22, which means a 8-10 years life expectancy as a Commander, if you're lucky. Titus even mentioned being Flamekeeper for 4 Commanders so doing the math and taking into account Becca was commander for 2 years and Lexa for, lets say, 8 years and I'd approximate (based on how old Titus looks etc) I estimate that there was about *18* Commanders in 98 *years* . Now if you're a parent and someone you trust above all else puts a chip in your kids head that is pretty much limiting both her life expectancy and freedom of choice, what would your reaction be to someone who you thought you could trust ignoring your pleas and deciding they have a right to decide your child's fate, even going so far as lying to them and saying it was the only way to save their parent even though the only reason Clarke was still locked up was because Indra and Bellamy didn't want her to interfere. Don't get me wrong, Bellamy and Clarke are my favourite characters and Bellarke should be endgame, but I can't help but feel like Bellamy was only really thinking of the short-term and Clarke was looking at the long term, because I'm not sure Bellamy really considered the future he was putting on Madi's shoulders or what her life would be like *after* they started sharing the valley, he was just worried about now's problem not the longer term issues of making Madi the 12 year old leader of a gladiator cult while sharing the limited resources of the valley with prisoners who would probably find issue with them following a child, like Skykru did with Lexa who was 20-22. Either way the writers better not just sweep it under the rug without having Bellamy and Clarke work it out like they always do because I think in the end Clarke understood, probably better than anyone, that Bellamy was just doing what he thought was best for the group at large (though if their roles were reversed and it was Octavia who was chipped he's be equally pissed even if it was Clarke) but it's probably that her trust in him is damaged (I mean he was the *only* person she trusted always, even when he didn't think she did) and it wasn't so much that she left him to 'die in the fighting pits' rather she left him to Octavia, his baby sister's, mercy and probably thought that even if she was pretty bat-shit crazy at the time she wouldn't really go through with it. Isn't it funny though, that every other season Octavia and Clarke were pretty much consistently the two most important people in Bellamy's life and in season 5 he betrayed both of them. Also they went from not seeing each other and mourning each other (even if Clarke had hope) for 6 years to being dumped right of the thick of it without any real relearning of the new version of each other. 6 years changes a person, and I'd want to see them get back to being partners and friends because even now they still center each other. And It would also be good if the others would stop putting all the blame on Clarke and ignoring that Bellamy drew first blood, even if that is kind of consistent for them: Clarke is always the bad-guy who makes the difficult choices to save them all just to have it thrown back in her face repeatedly by the very people she saved and she takes it and rarely, if ever, stands up for herself because she ultimately thinks she deserves it.

video is really touching... i don't know how to explain my feelings. thanks for your work. that was so heartwarming. if say about your words i don't feel that Bellamy abandons her. i mean he told Madi he doing that horrible thing for Clark, for protecting her. he just made a choice to save her even she will hate him. at that moment it was real he would save all of them. he sacrificed her trust for keeping her alive. and it would worked. i think it is so powerful, hard to betray O for Bellamy. but for Clark he did that. i think, he'll never sacrifice her heart in vain. i cannot wait their reunion. i hope they will finally understand each other.

I love this video and i'm so agree with what you write below, i love Bellarke, it's one of my favorite "couple" ever but there is no romance between them even if a lot of people want them to be together !! The writers just don't care about what we think and it's terrible because i feel like it's never going to happen... They keep pushing them away over and over again... But they diserve to happy together !!

Am I the only one who feels like Clarke's wish to protect Madi is sometimes too strong, like i get the fact that she wants to protect her because of the number of things that could happen to Madi as the commander, but it's like for stopping octavia etc. plus she would have Bellamy and Indra on her side to help her. And also, Bellamy made huge sacrifices for this, like poisonning his sister, Clarke could also make some (even if this is a huge one). I don't know, this is my opinion, but I feel lonely 😂😂 ... (sorry for the mistakes I probably made)

Bellamy did NOTHING wrong. Maddie is not the only person here. Bellamy already nearly sacrificed his sister's life to protect Maddie but also Raven, Emori, Echo, and Murphy as well as end the war to save humanity. He isn't going to let his efforts be in vain, not after giving Octavia that algae. If anything Clarke should be on her knees thanking Bellamy. Also, he never said Clarke wasn't in that family. Him not mentioning her doesn't prove anything. He didn't mention Monty or Harper either but they were part of Spacekru too. He was just angry that he is protecting Clarke's family but she won't protect his.
