Bellano è una piccola cittadina sulla sponda orientale del Lago di Como, poco più a nord della punta di Bellagio, attraversata dalle acque gelide del Pioverna. Quest’ultimo, nel tempo, ha scavato la roccia creando un piccolo canyon: il suo nome è “Orrido di Bellano”.
Bellano è un paese che ha messo in mostra, nel vero senso della parola, circa un terzo dei suoi abitanti. Il fotografo di fama mondiale Carlo Borlenghi ha scattato migliaia di foto a cittadini, lavoratori e aspiranti cittadini bellanesi: 900 di queste sono entrate a far parte di un elegante libro (con testi dello scrittore Andrea Vitali) e hanno dato vita a una enorme mostra in paese.
Bellano is a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Como, just north of the tip of Bellagio, crossed by the icy waters of the Pioverna. The latter, over time, dug the rock creating a small canyon: its name is “Orrido di Bellano”.
Bellano is a town that has showcased, in the true sense of the word, about a third of its inhabitants. The world famous photographer Carlo Borlenghi has taken thousands of photos of citizens, workers and aspiring citizens of Bellano: 900 of these have become part of an elegant book (with texts by the writer Andrea Vitali) and have given rise to a huge exhibition in village.
