Wish I could tell Sarah Martin to look into Criterion's Judex by the same director as Eyes Without A Face. Super. As for Amiri Baraka - I had a class with him in college - very memorable (and I'm old now). BTW - it is pronounced Le-Roi with not Lee-Roi with an emphasis on the Roi. Just sayin'.

you picked Umberto D from rhe master De Sica, it's probably the saddest italian movie ever. at the launch it generetaded a lot of political issues cause it was accused to show that italy was sooo poor after the war: a minister of the time, andreotti, said an infamous comment that i m trying now to translare: dirty laundry must be cleaned at home.
