Nothing can compare to this band. Its still unbelievable to me how emotionally deep but simultaneously so smart and so vivid and imaginative stuart's songwriting can be. Its so unfair how this band is not generally regarded as a truly innovative project because it is. Everyone is praising bands like idk, radiohead when it comes to invention and b&s's description is usually reduced to just 'twee pop' or something else that is completely misleading, i mean their sound is so easy to underestimate, misinterpret etc. because of its exterior or first impressions, and its fucked up. I just hope there are more people who can hear what im hearing in these songs cos it would make my life less isolated honestly. Cos these songs kinda talk in perfect ways about how i want to live my life and how i feel about life in general but i could have never expressed it as well as stuart in the songs.
This band is so underated in Scotland , this year they were going to be doing a few good low key festivals up here and hoped to see them alas not to be :(
Agree, but have you thought that maybe the band wants it like that? going around low profile, playing their music wherever they want. I mean, most of indie bands are like that. You have to think they were signed into Jeepster records and now in Matador records, two independent record labels, so of course you cannot compare the publicity they will have vs Radiohead. So, also that is what makes Belle and Sebastian awesome, nice, good band and better than Radiofuckinghead xD :D
@@StrangeAttractor ive come to accept that as a part of their charm but its true that ive seen some live footage which was almost unbearable to listen to just because how vocally unsure of himsel stuart was

They do bud. Stuart would come to the cafe I used to work at in Glasgows West end (the naked soup) and id stare at him like Baltasar Ghetty stares at Patricia Arquette on Lost Highway. In love with him and I'm not even gay. Rest assured he was getting his shit for free. Think they know the city loves them by leaving them alone though. They go around free, without being pestered. They're respected. I've also seen Sarah walking her dog around Partick and just being in peace. Glasgow is their safe turf

Had the chance to see them at the Tabernacle in Atlanta but went to Paul McCartney at Philips arena instead. I loved the show had a blast but still feel bad about missing Belle and Sebastian play.
Por isso que os artistas gostam de fazer show no Brasil, essa plateia em Berlim até me desanimou, se fosse no Brasil estaria todo mundo cantando aos berros kakaka come to brazil guys!
14:50. Beautiful Berlin: European Capitals and Cities often tend to have and be well-known for their grandeur, splendour and mind-blowing architecture. If you go to places like Paris, Brussels, Cologne, Rome or Milan (the list is endless), you will often find each one with their own unique character. European capitals often tend to be santadamn celestial.
