I stayed there for a few weeks working from out of town. I loved the themed rooms. You felt the history there.

Nice shot of BCI near end. Green Door was my stomping grounds whilst underage, of course. Got to play the stage a few times as well. Thanks Connie.

It is hard to understand how this history missed mentioning the Jenkins family, who owned and operated the Hotel Quinte for most of the hotel's existence since it was built in the early 1900s. First James Valentine Jenkins, and succeeded by his son, Gerald (and wife Eula), and then by their children, Barbara, Robert, and Jim. The hotel actually briefly returned to operation by Robert (Hume) Jenkins and Barbara's husband, Ernst, in the early 1980s, when the group of co-owners with Pat Murphy stopped paying the mortgage, which was still held by Gerald Jenkins' estate. The hotel business isn't easy without deep pockets, that's for sure! It was a beautiful place, where lots of great memories were made.
