looking forward to a long term review, especially as the bag is out of stock from their website in my region. Will make a decision as lock down eases. Thanks.
I’m thinking of doing some kind of follow up, there is some more information on this bag I’d like to share. But not a review as I have barely used it on account of the pandemic and working from home.
That backpack looks great. Have you looked at the new Mystery Ranch x Carryology backpack? It seems quite cool too. I have a question regarding backpacks: what do you call backpack that pack mostly on the top rather than on the bottom? The best example is the AELxx2 series, where most of the L are at the top, and you can actually see it when you wear it, because it creates like a V-shape (if looked at from the sides) when full.
I’m aware of Mystery Ranch. Still waiting for something more my speed from them. Carryology’s latest collaboration looks good from a functional standpoint but that awful logo really drops it down for me. Also wish it was a little wider. Not sure about what those are called.
I might have missed it but do the zippers to open the main compartment have a second zipper at the bottom to open it from the bottom going up instead of using the main zipper pull on top? Hope that makes sense. I just read it on a review online but would like to see if it does have that feature. Great content by the way!
Great first look, thanks for sharing this. Can you share your measurements for reference? Height, weight? Apart from the warranty concerns what's putting me off is that the laptop cannot be accessed unless you open the main flap. I wish there was dedicated side access so I can grab just my laptop when I need it.
5’9” about 220lbs. I haven’t used it for day to day packing/unpacking so I can’t tell if having to open the flap for laptop access becomes a chore after a few weeks. I’ll definitely bring it up for the long term review, whenever that happens.
Which foam tips you recommend for the airpods pro? Love the bag so far but worried it might look tall on my back, im only 175cm (5ft 9) tall and the pack seems quite tall
How's the major stuffage capacity compared to the TB synik 30? I see that the official size is 26L for this, but if you ratchet up to the top closure loop, how much space would you call that? Great reviews. thanks
Haven’t noticed that yet. But it’s just sitting in the corner of my room. I really have nowhere to go that I’d need to carry a backpack. Unless I just walk around the house with it 😀
Whats the thing with discoloured topic around the top opening. Can you show what is the case? I mean you did not even use it in real world and the bag already shows discolouring issues on material?! 🙄
"Whats the thing with discoloured topic around the top opening. Can you show what is the case?" Not sure what you're asking here. I already discussed my findings in the other comment thread that you were a part of. I don't have anything new to add about this, I'll have more to say once I start using the bag.
Don’t have any, you should have a good idea of what could fit in there based on this load out. My size 12 dress shoes should be a really good reference point.
Why are you yelling? Hook is solid. If you really wanted to break it you could, by laying it down in a very specific way and stepping on it with the intention of breaking it.
I’m not actively using it yet but I do suspect it’s going to show creases, I could already tell in the folds of the flap. I’ll cover this for my long term review.
HumorousMaximus : gosh...does it look bad what you mentioned? Is it visible from inside or outside? Probably this is part of patina which will be for sure visible on leather straps. What is your view?
HumorousMaximus i am really tempted to buy this bag since i think i can use it for many things i need my bag to be used: outdoor, office (if ever again), everyday forest walks...but i am worried about materials being to fancy but not durable enough in general.
