A much easier way to farm renown get villager with high hunting and archery and make them a hunter. Set them to deer only. Every time you look you will get 10 or more antlers for a trophy. I have my crafter set to always have 5 topped up. At 125 each that’s 625 renown I can place down in seconds at any time I want. Make sure that they are still crafting arrows so the hunter can be stocked up. It doesn’t give you gold or books but it’s not so cheesy. And you will have so much meat it your villagers will be eating good. I have like 75 smoked meat in both large and regular so any battle I go into each warrior gets one of each plus a fine stew for huge health and stamina and an attack buff. Battles go pretty good now even against brigands I only lose one or two. I have my new town set up where you have your second cheesy spot. I took out the village right there but at any point I can go out onto the road and attract one of the walkers by in. I’m just far enough away they don’t notice my town unless I attract them. It’s actually an amazing spot, lots of game to hunt lots of bandits but as I said take out the one village right there the rest don’t path through your town. I then closed off the one bridge so the brigands can only come up the other bridge. As soon as the red dot spears I gather my troops and feed and arm them and head over to ambush them in the field as they come up. I think it’s best sport for a tier two town.
If you do make sure to apply it to a seperate town. I have a town called personal storage with 0 villagers. That way they won’t walk across the map to put things in the chest or take them out.
@@hrd4mud yep this also is a good way to setup raid traps for your settlement you can place these triangle fence / w chest setups around your main settlement and those will attract the npcs before getting into your main base
Early game the best farm is the camp by Padstow. You can keep farming this camp because it's linked to a quest, so until you get that quest it will keep respawning bandits. You can go by the fisher hut and use the dock there, jump up on it and shoot. The camp usually only spawns 2 low level archers, which makes it really easy.
There's a very good spot for this down by the town south of Bradford I believe. I can't currently think of the name, but it isn't crasmere it's between the two, towns on the river. If you go to the backside of the town on the river there is a cliff side, you can sit on that and hit the patrols coming from the massive camp coming from across the river crossing the bridge just north. There's so much traffic there. They won't jump down onto your cliff if they run around even though it's like a two foot drop. I had one get pushed off but that's it. Super easy place. No building needed.
