This technique is great for anxiety attacks and chest tightness associated with asthma and allergies. I found "diaphragmatic breathing" through a search online on how to relieve chest pressure and tightness related to asthma, which has been sending my anxiety through the roof due to covid. This technique not only helped calm the anxiety, it really helped my breathing and I no longer feel like I need to be rushed to the er for an impending asthma attack. Just sitting in front of the tv and doing this breathing for 10 minutes has been perfect.
News flash or does not go into your belly or if it does you will be very uncomfortable. You should use your diaphragm to breath air into your lungs where it belongs and is very beneficial.
