Tell me how the music industry is so good at protecting the rights of musicians that I can't use music I want on this video and was just told I am required to paste the following below for the RU-vid music I selected. I have to pay fees to organizations that constantly remind me I owe musicians if I play their music in class or for a public performance.
Meanwhile anyone can take a video of me dancing in public or teaching, share it and reshare it without any real consequences or royalties to me, the artist.
This world makes no sense!!! The answer isn't actually more control or more royalties, I don't want that. We need more emphasis on sharing our knowledge, and cultivating community instead of competition. But that would require people being on board with sharing wealthy not hoarding it, and we haven't reached the tipping point yet for that. Maybe one day. A girl can dream!
