90% of primary school staff in Ireland believe it is important to know about LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
Primary school principals, teachers and wider staff have made clear their willingness to create LGBTQ+ inclusive environments for their pupils but need support and guidance to build the confidence to do so.
This new research, Belong To Primary: New Foundations for LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in Primary Schools, has been conducted by University of Limerick (UL) to survey the views and attitudes of primary school staff on making schools inclusive for all pupils.
Huge thanks to Dr Aoife Neary (she/her) and Dr Jason Power (he/him) at UL, for their dedication and careful consideration of this research project, as well as the Irish Research Council for funding.
