You're welcome! Though actually I think that the producers have been very creative given the constraints placed on them. To me, the live-action version shows a plausible alternative to the events that happened in the novel. By the end of the live-action series, we see YY and GQP being more comfortable with each other and working together. We get to see their relationship grow from potential enemies, almost rapist/victim, unwilling partners, owing and being owed, teacher-protege, family members, and then partners and friends. It's the steady rise in the level of intimacy between them which makes the live-action drama more believable in terms of pacing and real-world situation. Not to say that the novel is unrealistic, but the live action version is portraying the world in which YY and GQP were never gay to begin with, but their relationship grew past the point of friends into eventual feelings of love (of course, all this is what I imagine happening after episode 15). I like this version because seeing a relationship slowly grow is very nice and heartwarming too. After all, one's actions show more than any words said. I don't always need declarations of love (though it'd be nice to have them) to know that one character cares deeply for the other. If it's not enough, at least we have the novel and the fan meetings the producers were so kind to hold for us (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ... Though I still want a season 2!

Yup, I agree. I mean the series was disappointing only in the aspect that he wasn't BL and we didn't get to see that side of it but you are right the love that they develop in the series was nice as well. I actually really liked the series even though it was bromance.
