That's me! 1:44 I wrote that being upset over the new battle pass system, seeing how it leaves F2P players with no option to earn the skins through gameplay, which is something that the old battle pass allowed you to do, you could either pay using your time, or skip tiers using robux for the rewards you want. I get why they changed the battle pass, but I'm not particularly happy about it, mostly because my experience with double tiered systems in battle passes are very negative, what comes to mind for me in particular is the clash royale double (And now with diamond tier battle pass, making it a TRIPLE) battle pass system that prioritizes paying players and leaves literal cookie crumbs for F2P players, frankly, I just don't want the same thing happening to TDS.
I think you are getting confused here. there will still be a free version. It's just that now there will be another path that people can buy (and earn) and c'mon. Clash royale is the bottom of the barrel. It does many things wrong. Everyone knows how bad that game has gotten
personally i dont like it too much, as tds didnt realize the problem with the last 2 skins, the april fools shit and 4th of july commander, but its really up to you if u want it or not
@@pylotheric9777 The free version and paid version will be different, separate skins separate everything. If you want to unlock half of the content added in the update basically, you have to fork up however much they want to charge you. Also yeah, clash royale is a bit overdoing my argument, but in general this type of battle pass system stinks in most games it's introduced in, even other Roblox games just suddenly become way less fun when you don't want to spend your hard earned money but you are just teased with rewards sometimes 10x better than what you are getting without paying. Even with skins, I have no doubts that the free tier will be, or eventually will devolve into low tier garbage that nobody cares about, and the only way to get actual cool looking nicely designed skins will be through the paid option, it's just how these games tend to pan out, start strong and balanced on their battle pass and then slowly inch towards introducing class inequality within a rather silly game.

And yeah, clash royale one is a bit overexaggerated, but I do feel like, either right away or with time, they will make the free tier worse, slowly getting to the point where the only way you can get good skins through events is to buy the battle pass, like a lot of other games have it rn. In general, this type of battle pass system is just not that good, and a lot of games suffer because of it's introduction.
So yeah I don't judge the premium baattlepass as it was not released yet. However I just hope that the main prize (dj skin) will be free and that they wont throw all skins for dps towers into premium pass bcz if they do it'll have a horrible backlash on them, after the last halloween incidents (not mentioning the patriotic cmd and mako dj dramas) and them bragging abt this one event being better it'd be horrible if this event was broken by not enough free content. As for towers I expect one to be buyable for limited time (either with gems or with coins) and 2nd as a prize for winning the event.

I think there will be a tower for the battlepass.The 2 battlepass and easy and hard mode are pretty similar to to tdx's event so i think they took ideas from each other because John even said that they want a collab. Sorry for my bad grammar btw.
the only thing i hate about night is you have to wait some time between every night, but i guess its to work and tweaks that night a little bit more so its 50/50
I'm SUPER HYPED for balance changes. I've seen this one guy in particular talking about the fact that TDS doesn't really rebalance towers that often. And I completely agree. We should be getting balance changes at least every other update, considering the fact that TDS is literally a strategy game. 1:34 I'm glad below stayed constructive and positive, which is something that a lot of people can't do nowadays. Anyhow, I agree with him. However, I do think that premium battle passes should be more of a "supporting game development" thing as opposed to "pay money to get super cool skins because the ones in the basic battlepass suck" (not saying battlepass skins suck, just giving an example). They should exist primarily to help game development and get extra skins, that's it. 2:23 oof, I don't know why roblox did that. They're already making a ton of money, they shouldn't be doing this. It's honestly really bad not going to lie.
I was thinking that the lesson the devs would learn after lunar overture's act 3 would be to scale things down & remember that it's just an event with temporary content. Apparently, they decided to go bigger & better, and honestly, I'm just here for the fun of it. The devs are shown to be capable of executing the nights system though, as seen with the classic event. Yeah, that might not be the best example, but they nailed the balancing in the classic event, so what's to say they aren't able to in future events? One more thing: If I were to guess what the event towers will be like, my best guess would be to look towards TDX. TDS & TDX have frequently copied each other, much to the benefit of both games. For TDX currently, they basically have a TDS pyromancer as their event tower. So I'm guess at least one of the event towers will be like a TDX tower. My top guesses are ghost & toxicnator.

I really hope that they do not lock a event Tower behind a battle pass. That's going to be very bad because it's going to be completely overpowered never going to get nerfed. This doesn't really matter until you realize the fact that PVP is coming out later this year, meaning whoever buys the battle pass is going to have a clear advantage. While the ones who didn't buy it will be at a disadvantage

I hope the slasher rework has an effect to enemy's that make them bleed another thing what does it mean by 2 event towers like you need to beat Hex to get slasher or like a Halloween summoner because that's what we need it would be so cool if we have a summoner that spawns like jaxe or Lord sinister kinda like tower battles a little bit but possibly more levels for the people that may be stressing about the battle pass i dont think below means like actual robux battlepass only i think the battlepass is for candy only but im not sure if below makes it robux only then thats not great.

Oh boy i love paywall content! Did they not learn from patriot commander and mako dj? And arent they earing enough money as is with their 50 dollar shitty looking plushies? And all their gamepasses, and the subscription thing????? If they wanted two battlepasses to allow for more content, they could've just added some sort of choice system so you could complete one first, and then do the other one after. Or, yknow, extended the battlepass, like a sane dev team?

I imagine the hard mode will be the "normal mode" of this event, and an easy mode for people who just want the haunt badge I think they did something similar for the Hunt, but it might not happen
Lets just hope that “2 event towers” doesn’t mean the actual event tower and necromancer. 🙏 Edit: the reason i say this is because necromancer comes around EVERY halloween and is purchasable for halloween gems. The post says “2 event towers” not mentioning both of these will be new towers for this reason it is possible they are referring to necromancer and the new event tower. Just clarifying if people are confused. We are already aware we were getting necromancer so i’d be a bummer just to announce it again. Though it is unlikely, we haven’t seen another halloween event since last years which was necromancers debut so we don't know if they count him in this post. Its unlikely though due to him saying “we have a lot to offer compared to last year” which probably makes this comment irrelevant lol. TLDR: Just be aware one of the towers “might” keyword MIGHT be necromancer but it probably wont be.

Honestly everything is good. Except the battle pass. Bro, why literally every single good skin is behind paywall? At least make military base or dj skin for free. I don't wanna grind just for some mid skins for towers I won't ever use. (Also like almost all nametags are behind paywall) I understand you need to make money, but give at least something to f2p players.
