Exactly. I have elderly clients and clients with mobility issue and when they can't open these up in the store, we explore this option. If you can't bend over and pick up a back of groceries, you may need a motorized sleeper :)
It's hardly a waste of money (or an "excuse" to gouge people) if you are in need of assistance which I certainly am at my time of life. Clearly the item was made for people like me. I also have very little space to open a non-motorized sofa, so this will take care of that problem as well. I was hesitant about buying other pieces and was so pleased to find this option. I'm definitely going for it if I can afford it.
