This (and Minami Missiles) were a huge inspiration to me when I first hit tracks, and for my eventual Ebisu pilgrimage. Never had the chance to meet Chris, but I'm grateful for the inspiration he gave me. Thanks mate. RIP x
It doesn't give a speed boost but helps you get back into higher revs where the power is. With turbo cars you loose all the pressure when you let go of the gas and when you give gas again the pressure has to build up so what you can do is try and kick the clutch so speed things along and get the engine back into higher revs. A good technique is to tap gas as you your sliding using the handbrake which effectively does the same thing.
What?!?! RIP Dang 😔 randomly thought of this song and wanted to watch one of my favorite old drift videos and I see the comments. RIP this will forever be one of the greatest OG drift videos.
@ABOM420 were there LSx's in regals? that im not too sure of. the one i had a while back came from a camaro. lol. great engines. import fanboys usually just disregard the engine altogether because its american. IMO its one of the best motors. check out ww w.ls1tech.c om/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/ for tons of info. sorry i didnt reply earlier. work went crazy so i worked like mad, got sick, kept working, now i get some days off. lol
@ABOM420 im actually moving from where im currently at. so i sold my s13 hatch.i took all the good stuff off though. i had another before that in california. a couple of hachis before that. i started drifting a while ago (no hipster). but after the move i hope to pick up another car. i've had turbo KA's, SR's, helped a friend with an rb25 (i hate the way it drove. the front heavy is a weird feeling) you ever considered a LSx? extremely fun and ridiculous power and cheap parts.
@ABOM420 i like this. since you checked the video, you must be into drifting as well. what car you got? how long you been drifting? i think im on youtube more often cause i have adblockers on and youtube is fun again. great way to pass time at work for sure.
when drifting does the clutch help build revs for effectively a little speed boost? sorry for stupid question but im only 16 so wondering how it works :)
in the time where i began learn to drift this video was such an massive inspiration for me and the first one where i read this name :( i´ve watched it again and again and damn i do it until today
Lots of muscle memory, Find a nice open place where you can't hit anything, Just start doing 1st and second gear burnouts and donuts. Use the brakes, lifting, countersteer, handbrake, clutch and when you can control the size of the circle and your angle start doing figure 8's the same way. Then maybe try some 2nd gear entry on the outside of the figure 8 if you have room to do so.Balance grip and power. Mod driver THEN mod the car. The car will tell you what it needs.
