What a special day… not only did I manage to catch this beautiful beast arriving @ LHR today, however I also had the chance to catch her departing again as well. It was originally scheduled for around 17:00 GMT time however was severely delayed up until around 19:40 GMT time… I spent hours waiting, and I’d like to say that it was well worth it! Details below:

Wow that plane sky rocket that climb out. Kinda underwhelming as well. I was expecting some extremely loud roaring. Even virgin Atlantic makes their A330-300s roar louder than this.

That’s only as it rotated a lot higher than the usual passenger A330’s (-300’s especially) usually do, but you can still hear the engines just not as well as we’d all want to😊

@DannoAviation Still with the A330 beluga, I would expect it to be carrying some serious weight during take-off. But I guess it was flying back home completely empty. If it was loaded, that plane would not have sky rocket the wa it did. Based on that, I think Airbus must have been delivering some maintenance supplies to LHR and then returning home empty.
