A few years back we covered Belvedere's Station for them to go to their State Convention. We had a car fire at the local high school. The looks we got from the Troopers that were on location when we came down the hill behind the school were priceless!! Like "Where the F... is Kent Island" and "How long was the response?" ETA - Kent Island is in Maryland near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Belvedere is in Delaware near Wilmington. It was a little over an hour to get there for the transfer.
As a former woman Marine and retired truck driver...MUCH respect for that young lady fire fighter! She even clobbers them shit talkers on the head lol! You go girl! Not so sure burning buildings and heights would have been my thing back in the day lol

That old GMC HANN you guys have. I used to ride that very Engine When i was a member of Darby TWP Fire Department number 4 20 odd years ago stay safe and ride hard. I was there when we got our KME brand new the old hann came back to you guys its still a 5 speed right
I'm not stationed here. But , I've been here honorarily since the 80's I'm at a company down the road. But know of all that you have mentioned. And yes, still 5 speed.Still sounds good ,through shifting gears. There was a mention of restoring it. I don't see that happening any time soon.
I was on 2 fire depts. and we never had any women. Nice video but you should put some info in the description . I don't know what state this is or what type of run you are responding to or how many runs you filmed. Also, the slide show at the end should have music added to it. Just saying.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. The State is written in BIG letters long the side of the HazMat Tractor Trailer truck at the very start of the video nd then on the sides of every other pierce of apparatus. And the run type is in the title. As far as music... I don't do music in fire clips or videos. I just don't dig it. The only thing that I can inform on here is... the additional calls. ...A Bravo EMS call and the Duty Wagon in the beginning backing into quarters from a Water Rescue during this storm activity. Other than that everything is self-explanatory.
it’s taken my department longer to get out than this. Couple instances I’ve been on the truck waiting and it’s just me and the driver and it takes 3 activations to get out.
fmartinjr that's just good training, implying different apparatuses into a drill can expand the learning perimeter for every firefighter. I bet she goes out a lot on calls!
@@zach071591 I got a woman in my fire company that's 5 foot and put a 145lb and I guarantee you she could get you out. She carried at a 6ft 5in man who was unconscious in a fire once. And if you were in the s*** you probably wouldn't give a damn who pulled your ass out now would you.
