That is really a great point, ben 10 is only franchise for which I would always remain ready for watching it's fillers, Look at other shows/franchises it is a rare case, this franchise have shown time to time that it's filler could be as good or sometimes even better than story arcs, And can't wait for your to watch ov, that show have best fillers & story arcs in entire franchise!
8:06 honestly my favorite Ben and Gwen moment of the entire classic franchise. It really shows much these two have grown close with each other since they were kids
I used to have a friend, big fan of Ben 10 such as my self. We would talk a lot about it, share laughs and watch the episodes and movies whenever We got together at his place. Sometimes We would say that We were like Ben and Kevin, not because of our personalities but our sense of humor, the complicity when something funny happened and the way We would fake an argument with lines from the show. I lost him a few years ago during the pandemic, and not a single time when I watch this episode I don't think about him whenever I hear Kevin say "And more important... He's my best friend." The ending when Kevin says the burgers are on him 'cause he appreciates having his girlfriend and his bestfriend by his side, brings me happy memories and makes me smile like a kid, everytime.
In Alien Force, Ben did go inside the Omnitrix when Gwen's brother Ken was turned into a DNAlien and Ben used the Omnitrix to cure him. It was the episode where Max "died" by sacrificing himself.
One of the best episodes in the whole franchise. If it wasn’t for Absolute Power or The Forge of Creation, this would be without doubt my favorite Ultimate Alien episode.
Honestly, in my opinion, is The Forge of Creation a horrible episode 😅 I mean, yes, there is a lot of fan service, and the concept in itself is really good, but the execution... Stinkfly can shoot lasers... Ben uses Ultimate Swampfire, with which he had already trouble against Ampfibian... but especially... WHY DOES HE STAND STILL, WHILE AGGREGOR ATTACKS HIM, INSTEAD OF SHOOTING HIS BLUE PLASMA FLAMES?!!! XD
My 2nd favorite episode of Ultimate Alien, and probably my favorite Ben 10 episode that has Ben's aliens come to life. It's one of Ben's best character moments in the series with him willing to sacrifice himself if it means living innocent beings no longer suffer. I also love Kevin's scene of pouring his heart out to Azmuth. It really does feel like the completion of UAF Kevin's character arc.
Ben really changed Kevin to leading him saying that they are best friends. After all they been through. From rivals, allies, and now best friends. And Ben being childlike immature, but willing to make an ulitmate sacrifice shows he's willing to die to protect everyone. Guess he's like Max after all in serious situations.
This episode is one of my favorites in Ultimate alien it shows how caring Ben is and how much he sees his transformations as an extension of himself and how alive they are too him he’s willing to sacrifice his life for beings who tried to murder him because he knows everyone deserves freedom. Kevin’s line about how Ben was his best friend really moved me he’s grown so much since classic it’s unbelievable
Probably one if my favorite episodes in the entire show. Ben isn't perfect, but being willing to sacrifice himself for artificial lifeforms just how much of a hero he is. And I love how they use the ghistfreak concept, but xith a complete unique spin Ben, gwen and tetrax went inside the Omnitrix in destroy all aliens before.
@@justyuriforeverI Thought That Destroy All Aliens Became "Retroactivelly Canon" Or Something, Even In The First Episode Of Omniverse Young Ben Mentions That Malware Isnt The First Galvanic Mechamorph He Has Fought, The First One Being Probably A Refference To Amzuth's Dad Using The Mechamorph Armor (Retaliator Armor)
My understanding of what happened with the ultimatrix in the episode is something that I think was in some ancillery material about how the evolution fuction works. As I read back in the day, the Ultimatrix takes the existinng DNA sample, and puts it into a simulation of something like 10,000 years of civil war (or universal war or something like that), and then effectively sampled the resulting creature to serve as the Ultimate form. Within this episode, the flaw, as I understand it, was that each time the simulation as run, echoes of the conciousness of the simulated individual who was sampled ended up leaking out of the siulation into the device, and over time these echos manifested into the sentient Ultimates (explaining why Wildmut wasn't included, as he'd only been used once, so his simulation hadn't been run enough), this does explain how Humungasaur has memories of a mother who never existed.
One of my personal favorite of the franchise, because it has one of my favorite Ben moments in the series. This is good Ben, being the hero that we know he can be, beneath all the BS that he hides behind
This episode really reminded me of the times when Bruce Banner had to deal with his other Hulk persona's in his psyche especially Devil Hulk and how he wanted to be free from the mindscape and similar to Ghost Freak's goals back in classic but with this episodes twists.
This is one of those dark episodes I was waiting for. There's another, I don't know if it's darker than this, that I think can be up for debate, but... In my opinion, this is one of the darkest and truly shows just how selfless Ben is.
Some interesting things about this episode: They completely forgot abt ultimate wildmutt. In this episode ben "dies" one more time. The place inside the ultimatrix isn't necessarily real, but the ultimates are. The "upgrade" guard turned into something technological instead of possesing something. The memories the ultimates have aren't real since they're all a simulation.
I can't remember if it's explained in the show, but basically how the Ultimatrix works is, when Ben turns an alien into Ultimate, the Ultimatrix takes the DNA code and forces it to evolve by putting it through various battle, war, and survival scenarios to trigger a state where it's adapted and evolved to deal with many circumstances and reach peak of the species' power. In other words the DNA is forced to go through hell just to become more powerful. All the Ultimates must've been through so much the DNA gained sentience just to get it to stop.
Realistically an actual Mechamorph unlike upgrade should be able to latch onto Kevin while metal absorbed and remember his shape. Probably not the best form since there’s so many other forms of tech in the universe but I just thought it would be neat.
i always took it like ghostfreak didn't tried anything in this episode 'cause they were already INSIDE the omnitrix, so even if he could beat Ben and take full control he would still be trapped
Technically 3 if you count his powers being used by ultimate Ben,if not, then this is heatblast second appearance as well, also the first time he shouts his name out
You can see since the first time Ben goes Ultimate his eyes glow Pink which was a foreshadow of the glitch (tho i think they originally had a different plan)
*Second Time, The First Time Was Ultimate/Swampfire Against Vilgax, Then He Quick-Changed To (Probably Big Chill First, Then) Jetray And Lands Alongside Gwen, Max And Kevin
Just telling u in advance, u might straight up hate Omniverse at start but try to carry on its good arcs are top notch, I hated it myself at first but it grows on😅❤
That's with some others on place 1 of my favourite UA episodes or also Ben 10 ones in general ^^ Incidentally, without any spoilers, the next two episodes will be only so meh, but after that, you get really amazing ones 😉
TENNYSON MAY HAVE MESSED UP THE ULTIMATRIX, BUT HE’S PUT HIMSELF ON THE LINE AGAIN, AGAIN. HE’S RISKED HIS LIFE A HUNDRED TIMES FOR PEOPLE HE DIDN’T KNOW, FOR SLOBS LIKE ME, FOR JERKS LIKE YOU. HE’S A HERO, AND MORE IMPORTANT…HE’S MY BEST FRIEND. This made me forgive Kevin for every time Ben tried helping him but never wanted and in AF I couldn’t stand him as well as UA like I never wanted him to be a part of the main team but after this episode Kevin deserves to be a hero now. Ben Kissing Gwen just shows that Gwen means a lot to Ben from when they were 10 and to 16 shows 6 years they have really matured and shows they love one another if they ever go on a separate journey. Good to see Ghostfreak back, which was only 30 Seconds then Heatblast , Diamondhead and Way Big. I really wished that they designed Grey Matter in time so that way we don’t need Brainstorm in this episode and uses his OS Aliens to Fight The Sentient Ultimates.
An episode full of good moments, but also very confusing; as far as I know, the ultimatrix takes the DNA of "all" of Ben's aliens and simulates their "evolution", to explain how they became sentient, I believe that these simulations have evolved to the point of creating an artificial intelligence believing to be alive... How is it possible that they obtained a physical body? my theory is that the ultimatrix (and perhaps, but it's not certain, also the omnitrix) is capable of "cloning" and "creating" bodies... after all, one of the reasons for its creation is to repopulate the universe after the destruction of the Highbreeds (if I wrote It right)... so I hope this very long comment has been helpful in filling some doubts, even if sometimes this franchise contradicts itself
Almost done with ultimate alien I know for a fact when you start omniverse I will tune into every video, it’s my favorite by far Looking forward!!! Hope you’ll love it too!!!
Solid episode but the whole concept needed proper build up and actual consequences, like the fact he can still use Ultimate Forms after this pretty much undermines any “sacrifice”. Which is a shame because this is pretty much the only time the Ultimate Forms are actually relevant to the series.
you telling me Ben never changed into an ultimate alien we havent seen yet, like off screen lol it wouldve been nice to see an ultimate Rath or ultimate Chromastone and be surprised...
@@yudhazacharias9377 Because it's pointless. It was only introduced in the first place in an attempt to retcon magic out of existence. But then they opted out of that and reintroduced magic, meaning Gwen's anodite retcon was pointless. Also, making her an alien takes away from her dynamic with Ben. In the original series, the use of magic wasn't just a power for Gwen, it felt like an extension of her character. Ben was always more empirical and blunt, and the science-based Omnitrix reflected that. Whereas Gwen was always more intuitive and abstract, always willing to try new things and driven by natural curiosity (that's why she was an overachiever at school and at physical activities) and so her powers were more spiritual in nature. The show may not have delved that deeply into the nature of her magical affinity, but it did get the idea across that her magic was an extension of her mentality. Hence she doesn't just make energy constructs like in UAF, but creatively uses the environment. The way I've always seen the deeper meaning of OG Ben 10 is that Ben embodies the body while Gwen embodies the mind. Ben has no concept of the existential complexity present in nature and as a result lets the Omnitrix define him initially. On the other hand, Gwen is in a way TOO concerned with the existential complexity and is constantly trying to push the boundaries to find herself. Her mind is always fixated on the future when it should be in the here and now. This flaw was very noticeable in the Ghostfreaked Out episode, when she is so absent-minded that she showed more concern for being accepted into a prestigious school than for the people that are currently in danger. By the end of the series, Ben and Gwen have learned so much from each other. And as a result, Ben has embraced a more spiritual awareness which has enabled him to realize that no technology, not even the Omnitrix, can define him as a hero. And Gwen has embraced a more grounded mindset, which has enabled her to realize that her ambitions should not come at the expense of what is currently happening. Ben is now more in-tune with his mind while Gwen is more in-tune with her body. That's why Gwen's magical affinity worked so well. Because magic is abstract, just like Gwen. And mastering her magic allowed her to become more focused, which improved her as a person and helped her embrace the here and now. But all that is pretty much thrown away when she becomes a pink lantern alien that might as well have been one of Ben's alien heroes. Which is bad, because AF already made Ben and Gwen's personalities too interchangeable (personally I think Omniverse Ben feels more like what a teenage Ben would be like).
