Thanks, really appreciate your kind comments. I've got a new one filmed not too far from here coming tomorrow night. Hopefully an improvement on this one 😄
Wow I love everything about the this video, I love the way you you described the path and everything, I only can see from my right eyes I have to be extra careful and take my time! 🏴❤️.
Excellent video Kris. My girlfriend and I saw it a while ago and hiked up Ben A’an yesterday. We stayed at the campsite by Loch Achray and wouldn’t have found out about any of it without your video so thank you! Keep them up 👍
Great stuff. This was my first proper hill many many years ago. Still remember the utter joy when I got to the summit, and it sparked something in me. For such a wee hill, it has a cracking view. Always love tuning in to your videos. They are made really well. Look forward to your next. Cheers
Thanks Leon. Yeah, i can see how it would do that 😃 Its a steep little thing though! My legs were burning haha. Appreciate the comment, keeps me motivated to make more 😁 Kris.
It's stunning indeed! Would be a lovely place to take them. I imagine it's going to be pretty busy the next few weeks though so you might want to arrive there early.
Beautiful. Sam and I went up this wee hill a few weeks ago before lockdown was back in full swing. My first hill walk if you dont count going up the hill behind the cottage at mark and Nadine's wedding!
Cheers Andrew! You certainly picked a good one haha 😃 I think It counts! It was made extra tough with all the food and drink I reckon 😆 Hope you and Sam are well.
Heading up Ben Aan tomorrow. Really enjoyed you're video about it. About to check out some of your other content. Oh, and happy to call myself a new subscriber. 😊
Nice one , i enjoyed that ..You narrrated through the video very well mate ...Its a stunning wee hill , i've been up it 6 times and camped on it once as well..Cheers Stevie
Thanks Stevie! It is indeed, my first time up it. I reckon it must look pretty nice in winter too, ill need to take a wee trip back. Must have been a great camp spot! Hope you didn't get woken up too early with all the foot traffic hehe 😄 Cheers! Kris.
@@ScottishMountainGoat your detailed video means I don't have to now. Did you get the National Park authorities to close off Ben A'an or was it just really good editing to make it look like no one was there? 😂
Haha! I don't think the hill opens till 9am so if you sneak up early 🤣 Was a Tuesday morning I was up and the car park was rammed by the time i got back. Dread to think what its like there at the weekend!
Great video, very cinematic! I have done Ben A'an a few times and loved it. I assume you went really early to avoid the crowds? Been a crazy busy hill of late!
Cheers Andrew. Yeah, got to summit at about 7 am. Was absolutely bonkers when I got back to the carpark though. That was on a weekday too! Weekends must be crazy busy up there just now.
Just come across your channel. Ben A'an is my favourite hill, I've nipped up it a few times, even guided my wife's Jive Dancing class up it, including men & women in their 60's and 70's, who decided to dance on top (crazy). I put a report on WalkHighlands about Ben A'an. Regards
Haha, that certainly sounds like a unique walk John! 😄 I did encounter a few strange goings on during my walk up there, but not at that level. Cheers, Kris.
Haha yeah! I've got a confession to make, I had to film it in reverse to avoid the crowds lol. Got to the summit for sunrise around 7am then headed back down. Must have got back to the car around 9ish and the carpark was full lol
Hi don't know if your still answering questions but I'm planning going here soon for a camoing trip with my wife and kids to be at one with nature, the issue is something about pay for certain parts 3 pound a tent not a huge problem but makes me think where could I park I don't know if you know much about the paid pitches I will probably go for one of them to make things easier but I can't walk too far because of the kids do you know how close I will be able to park with the paid pitches ?
The permits let you camp on the shoreline of Loch Achray. If you park at the Ben Venue carpark, it's about a 700m walk south along the road to some of the camping spots. I think there's a layby on the roadside even closer but I havnt been down that road. I'd probably just stick it in the carpark and walk round, should be fine for the kids too. Hope you enjoy you're trip!
@@ScottishMountainGoat thanks just googled loch achray because of your response it doesn't look like the best part of this place could you tell me rhe part you think is nicest I know there is a few different sides like loch katrine I think lol something like that but yes there is a few id like to know the one you think is best in terms of beauty for someone going camping
@@itsme3550 For me, Loch Lomond is probably the nicest but also busiest. Loch Earn on the South Side is also nice and the camping spots are close to the car. Loch katrine is nice, but i think the little camp site that's there is for camper vans and glamping pods only.
@@ScottishMountainGoat yeah I've just looked it up i think ill be going to that side looks great for scenery and wild camping I will enjoy it I think. Is the weather usually good in late July in Scotland have never been
