Yeah do we know the full truth but he seems like he caused it himself. I have been through it where I hardly ever drank alcohol but in an abusive relationship, I started to and a lot. Now, out of that, I never touch it unless on rare occasions. The guy was toxic and an ahole, pray to all those to get out of domestic abuse and violence especially with covert types.

He more unhappy with himself he avoids the responsibility it seems by falling off the wagon. He felt trapped that self absorbed behavior in that he blames her for making him hit the bottle when she was probably doing the mom work with kids and he knew she good mom but he wants a hooker type or high maitaince woman to fantazize about. I been with types like that it abusive it all about them and not man up and take responsibility.

BS, He was old enough to know what he wanted to do so why play the blame game. Only the weak cave in to the opinion of others when it comes to living their lives, He stated HE felt trapped but he was not alone in that marriage. what about Garner?, He could have stated we both felt trapped and stayed for the sake of the kids, With cheating gambling and alcohol he is also pathological liar. He was trying to save his marriage but he grabbed a bottle of scotch and laid on the sofa and got drunk. That is one sure way of saving and your kids see you in a drunken stupor, Garner put up with his BS longer than most women kids or no kids.He stated how frank his kids talk to him and believe me he is going to regret what he stated because that 16 year old has seen and heard a lot and she will give him a clear picture of himself as she saw him and it won't be pretty. He is a weak man, If he wants respect from his kids that he claims are his priority he had better shape up to earn it,

@@jaded_ninja There is no such thing as a perfect life or marriage both takes work and there are no short cuts and I know of no saints. I was married to an alcoholic so I know some of the things Garner had to deal with. In addition to trying to raise kids. Their problem he was a weak man that married a strong woman and he could not deal with it. He had no problem calling her when he needed help where were his friends and conquests. that should have cared for his well being, she was an EX and didn't owe him anything

PLEASE! IF Ben was so fully committed why did he cheat on his Lopez his fiance. with strippers There is a big difference between cheating and flirting. That shows his character Lopez cheated with a married man.who had a pregnant wife, Garner in no saint but has better morals than the drunk and the man chasing Lopez

@@cabrerah33 What about Garner she used no crutch to hang on to. She had the same pressures as he. That is an excuse not a reason, Alcoholism runs in his family and he had a drinking problem already. He used that as an excuse as all alcoholics do to drink. Blaming everything and everyone for their weakness. He had choices. You can't be a good anything if you are wasted

@@cabrerah33 My husband drank socially and so did it. but not to the extent of being alcoholic. Men and women hide a lot of weaknesses before marriage but they come out after marriage. In addition to his drinking he had a gambling and womanizing problem. His was more serious. Now he has given an interview stating he "got cured" not by rehab or programs but having caring and supportive people around. Now I know he must be relapsing.and sounds like the rumblings of a drunk. He is not cured and that urge will return. and it will take more than. plus he was on antidepressants and still could be and using them to substitute for alcohol, If he loved his kids as he claimed he would have been a better role model instead of making excuses for his weaknesses.

Garner was that supportive woman he had since she was the one took him to rehab while he was shacking up with another woman because she left him in his stupor. He claimed that rehab and programs don't work as well as supportive people . Marriage is a give and take situation but some mates want to take more than they give and that is when problems arise ,When the other mate gets sick and tired of being sick and tired that is the time to end it, Life is to short

Bottom line: He is an alcoholic. He is not working the steps. I've seen him in two different interviews where he was slurring his words. Jennifer Garner is in love with someone else. He is scared because he depends on her when things go completely south.

People do it all them time. I have heard people say they literally stayed together for the kids and literally divorced once the kids are grown up. It’s quite common. Not healthy but happens all the time.
