Following on from his Anjunadeep Explorations debut last summer, emerging German DJ/producer Ben Böhmer returns to the label for his first solo outing with a trio of melodic weapons on ‘Morning Falls EP’. The EP opens with the rolling melodies of ‘Morning Falls’ before drifting into peak time club cut ‘After Earth’. Böhmer rounds off the EP with the laid back grooves of ‘Velvet Rebellion’ which also features his friend and frequent collaborator Wood.

I cannot explain how this song saved my life. I do not have words. It just gave me hope to continue and to hold on at a period in my life where I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. It was one of the only songs I had left on my phone that I could play offline when I lost everything and was forced out of my house during the pandemic. Business went bad and I had no money or place to go. But I had this song, my Faith and my dreams. So I would listen to this song on repeat and I don't know, it just gave me hope that I could get back on my feet; that God had a plan for me and here I am today! I'm still alive when I thought I'd be dead! I'm not where I want to be but I'm not where I used to be! And we're going up up up! Believe in your dreams everybody! Work hard and pray!

I often wonder what it must be like to walk around with this in your head and where it comes from. Then to lay it down for the first time and sit back and listen to what you have just created. The sheer joy of that creative process. Your music is outstanding Ben. Pure bliss. Everyone I've introduced your music to, from my 90 year old father down agrees. Sensational work.
