I met ben in Richmond when they toured with bvb last may sat there on the sidewalk smoked a half a pack of cigs with him and just talked he was so easy to talk to it wasjt even funny same thing with james Cameron and sam I didn't catch danny but I'm seeing him on his solo tour in may
I love how down to earth these guys are! They are just like this in concert as well. I'm actually getting to meet Danny himself on 17 January which I couldn't be more excited about!
Saw them live in Germany in 2014, Worsnop was on his way out the door, but still a great show and both were absolutely hilarious with their banter and the drunk German crowd.
For me, Ben is the face of Asking Alexandria. I know Danny is the frontman, but 1) he left the band for like a year 2) I don't think his newer music is bad at all, it just doesn't fit what Asking Alexandria has been since 2009 3) My favorite album is The Black, and he wasn't even the vocalist (cuz he left) And don't be like "hey every band changes look at BMTH" because BMTH is and always will be my favorite band of all time, and they have changed their sound, but not their music. I listen to everything from Edge Of Your Seat to amo. They have successfully kept their touch, and while "mother tongue" is a bit more poppy than BMTH should be, it's a fucking love song, what do you expect? They could have referenced There Is a Hell and said "EVEN THOUGH I SAID TO KEEP HEAVEN A SECRET, IT CAN'T BE ANYMORE, SINCE YOU FELL FROM IT" but they already referenced Follow You in "ouch". BMTH have remained alternative rock, but I've rambled on enough about them, this is about AA. I can even hear old AA in their newest album, but if they keep putting out stuff like Someone, Somewhere, that's completely ok, it's just not really the band I know.
If I'm not mistaken, Ben has always been the face of Asking Alexandria... He first formed it in Dubai, then re-formed it back in the UK. He writes pretty much all songs (Denis helped with songwriting in The Black (album, not song), something that Danny never did).
you know they kinda grew up to right? they're all almost, if not already, 30+ you can only do that screamo shit for so long. i like their change personally.
@@xo9253 First of all, "screamo" is it's own subgenre, and Asking Alexandria has never released "screamo". Second of all, BMTH still sounds like BMTH to me, they haven't changed their music, only their sound. Also, I didn't even realize Someone, Somewhere was a R&R song, they just released the acoustic of it xD And to be fair my favorite Danny album is FDTD, so I don't even need them to be metalcore for me to enjoy their sound. Hell, I even like most of their newest album, I don't need them to be "screamo".
I feel that's all part of being in a band, you are basically family. When you're on the road, your band members are really all you have. So you become really close to one another, that's why so many bands take it so hard when they lose a member of their band.
I wish I could hear the rest of what the lady said after Danny says “it was your pleasure” she sounds mad lol but the video stops..... :( Bens grin makes it all the best of she was mad
Danny's interview when he said people who don't drink as much as us were full of shit basically. not true I hated my life and was a total alcoholic and seeing that sounded like he was coming straight for me. not cool.
