What s the brand of their flowery clothes at the reveal??? Americans joften seem work with ( uninsulated indoors? ) flimsy sheetrockwalls and also the way you first install cabinets and then tile just à bit under them or paint around them seems a bit odd. We usually redo entire floor & paint and then get furniture in. So future occupants won't have to fill homes when taking out an island or wall cabinet. Looks like creating very " disposable" housing. Even whit lots of moving around, durable building is important and doable.

As a Canadian, I am always amazed how prevalent face frame cabinets are in the US. In Canada we have a preference for European style cabinets that have no face frame. It must be the love of tradition and the classic looks that keeps the face frame cabinets alive. You lose about an inch and a half of drawer width as well as having horizontal elements that interfere with the height of what you can put in the drawer. Wide upper cabinets have centre styles that prevent the wide-open use of uppers. Statistically, Americans view European style cabinets as cheaply made while Canadians view face frame cabinets as cumbersome. It’s all in what you get used to I suppose.
