As a former Democrat (been an Independent since Clinton left office), I've found that the current Democrat party is everything bad we used to say about the GOP back then and then some. --They weren't like the GOP neocons (not anymore) --They supported the rights of the individual over corporate interests (not anymore) --They would have fought tooth and nail to put a stop to what we're seeing in Israel and Gaza (not anymore) --They would have made sure that the PEOPLE were able to choose their presidential candidate in a primary (definitely not anymore) --They had no problem doing multiple interviews on public media (even the networks who didn't favor them) (not anymore) --They made their policy positions more than just simple talking points with no depth (not anymore) No wonder some 40% of the voting public (based on the numbers I've seen online) are essentially staying home in November. More and more black voters (like myself) are either voting for the couch or are seriously considering 3rd party or voting for Trump. Vivek Ramaswamy said it correctly: Trump isn't running against another candidate, he's running against a machine.
