@@millanferende6723 I'm pretty sure that if you buy a piece of land that has stuff on it, it's your job to remove said stuff. So Ben can demand all he wants... it's him who has the right and responsibility to remove the square foot of floor, square foot of ceiling and tiny piece or wall.

If laws are similar there as USA, tech town would have to be ok with access. In USA, part of your property would be an "easement" and they could put down gravel if access is bad. Just saying.

Also, if the alarm goes to a security company or the police the cost for them come running would be on him. Though both would probably come only once. They would remove him from the premises or in case of a security company have him removed.

Plenty of people have had that idea, like the lovely landowner that plants boulders around stuff he doesn't like in Österåker, like opposing counsel's property, the bike paths and the local train station. That sort of behaviour happens to be illegal in sane jurisdictions, but the corrupt local government wouldn't dream of telling him so.

In some countries, you HAVE to give access if your property surrounds another’s. BUT he has to pay for the passage. So… not smart, Ben.

@@phsfalcao yeah but there are different laws in homes, stores, shops etc.. you can literally be banned at least in America... dunno if its the same in other countries but ive seen various cases online where they are trespassed i think its called and they will be arrested if they ever set food on that property again.. so in that case the store owner wouldnt have to give access, but then im pretty sure someone shouldnt be allowed to sell land if it doesnt have access

He's allowed to apply for an easement for access but that can literally take years to go through the courts. And the easement must be as direct a line as possible, but could just going around be the edge of the store. Then the store can just build outward facing shelves/fence to completely hide the easement from view. Security doors can be a problem, so the easement can be set by the court to be only during techtown business hours...I've overthought this!

Nah, it's okay. Don't know about New Zeland, but In my country there are a lot of disputes about cituations like this. Land has some strange borders, people who bought the land didn't notice those strange borders, build something over there, and then some guy like Ben comes and demands the owners to either buy that piece of land from him, or stop using it.

It could be the corner where four zones of land all connected and left a small unowned gap in the middle, then at some point all that land was consolidated into a single property, with nobody noticing the 1ft square in the middle technically not being theirs.
