Recently picked up a Panerai Radiomir PAM 627 to complement my 116710LN, super excited to add it to the stable. Panerai, nothing else quite like it and that's why I picked on up, 15 years after owning an 88.

I love wearing both the Luminor and Radiomir, get aesthetic value.

I really hope Jose Perez AKA Perezscope (think I butchered his actual name) is in the audience for historical accuracy reasons.

People usually want to have fun at parties, they don't invite the annoying nerd looking to crash the event at the first opportunity they can find. The old timer Paneristis like Perezcope just don't fit anymore with the modern aspirations of Panerai, since they only spend their money on 20 years old, basic PAM with ETA movements or the vintage stuff. Hopefully they are a dying breed who have realized that their influence on the brand is no where near what it once was when Panerai was scorching hot during the naughties. I say good riddance because they do very little to financially support the brand right now.

Some of the talk of the old days definitely tugs at my heart strings.

Curious what they cut out right after the Brooklyn Bridge mention LOL.

I am a newer fan of PANERAI. I love them. They're MY brand. But sometimes, the shadow of the "good ole days", makes me feel like I'm not allowed to enjoy them for today. Because it's "not as good as it used to be". And I'm speaking of the watches as well as the community.

I would say that is innacurate. But ... that depends on what you like. I like thin watches. And the newer models are thinner, and have more labeled water resistancy. So i guess it just depends on what you like about the brand.

Paneristi are simultaneously the nicest people in the watch community, but also the worst gatekeepers. Enjoy the brand for how you interpret it, and forget everything they say about what a Panerai 'should' be. Some of the brand's best stuff is not its core/enthusiast product, full stop.

Would be nice for you to show the watches as you talking about it because watching U2 talk for such a long time out seeing any watch is really boring. You really need to work on your production.

BS brand, with fake history, overrated calibers and scandals, laughable waterproofness for some models, unimaginable design team, etc...

Hell no. Panerai has a cult following. Not fake history. You sound like Perezscope

@@Dr_LK I don't agree with a lot of his stuff. He makes a living being the National Enquirer of the Watch world 😂

@@WINDINGCROWNS ok, fair enough. But he has background and experience, worked for many auction houses, and he uncovered scandals. Also definitely Panerai has been involved in their own scandals. So each one of us has their own opinion, which we form through a variety of information.
