@@malomapusua3048 The reason VAR sucks, as you put it lol, is because it is run by humans. There is nothing wrong with VAR itself, it runs perfectly and is full proof, but as soon as the human element comes into it, it starts going downhill fast and fails. That is why Goal-Line-Technology works so well, no human element to mess it up. VAR is also overused and not what it was designed for. Either use it for certain things, EVERYTHING, or not at all. Because at the moment VAR is schoosing when it is used, rather than within the laws of its use and that is not right. Too many times VAR interferes with situations it has no need to interfere with and even no right to interfere with and it is killing the game. Referees also rely on it too much. Refs seem to have the mindset, "if VAR says it is so, then it must be right". Refs have lost the will to think. In all the hundreds of decisions VAR has asked a Ref to go to the monitor, only twice has a Ref said, "Naah! I am not having that and I will stick to my original desision" and that is not right. Technology is fantastic and I am all for it, but if used wrongly it can ruin things and VAR at this time, is ruining the game completely, by interfering too much and sucking all the joy, fun and life out of the sport. We have got to the point where we dare not celebrate a goal anymore for at least 30 minutes, while VAR spends that long, looking at it from every angle, including up a Players butt, to make sure the goal should stand and that in itself is all wrong. It really is not necessary and it all needs to be stopped and VAR's usage needs to be examined and changed....for the better.

The abuse they take is wrong, but it’s partially their fault. They need to be giving out more yellows when players try to intimidate them, plus they’re shit.

I even (sort of accidentally) did it for a penalty decision once, a big no no generally unless its an OGSO, but this wasn't... Ball fell to an attacking player just inside the area after the foul and he managed to squeeze a shot into the bottom far corner! I'm still not sure WHY I didn't blow for the pen but it got me out of a pickle, definitely!

They tried an experiment to mic up the refs back in the late 80s featuring Arsenal, they swore and abused the ref so much they vowed to never televise conversations between refs and players. Wouldn’t doesn’t work in football due to the lack of respect for officials by the majority of footballers.

Exactly. Mike Dean, Clattenburg, Anthony Taylor…just absolutely love to influence the game. Dean was sitting in the Var chair today and disallowed a goal for a challenge that occurred before 2 crosses were attempted in open play. Disgraceful decision and nobody has to explain why it will probably be the only time all season we see a goal disallowed in this way.

the same Euros that had 2 English refs in it? There were shocking decisions in the Euros, England penalty against Denmark, Czech penalty against Croatia, Wales red card against Italy. I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting, keep believing the media narrative though. English refs are some of the best around.
